I really like it when you don’t have to squeeze with other people or wait for ages at the bar until you are noticed! Been there twice. The first time we were lucky to sit on the big sofas of the room at the back. We were given menus, took our order and brought our drinks over at the table. YEEEEEEAH!!! So happy :) The low lighting and the nice cosy music at the background made the atmosphere perfect to lay back and have a conversation while enjoying some fantastic cocktails. The front room has some more light and different seats. There is also a patio outside, with heaters, for those who want to smoke without being separated from their drink! The second time I went there, the room at the back was closed and there were no menus at the bar(just a couple or three at the tables). I guess they are preparing the bar for the summer, probably with an updated menu! Looking forward to go back.

Oak Room is a pretty standard cocktail bar with an interesting interior and location, but a really strange layout. I went on a Friday night at around 11pm and the front of Oak Room was pretty desolate. When we walked around the corner there was another room and bar(an almost exact mirror of the front room) that was more populated, but there were no seats left and no room to stand with all of the space the bar and tables took up. It felt like the front half of Oak Room was totally disconnected from the back. The energy in the back was missing from the front, even though the front had the DJ. The music that the DJ played was alright, but I think it needed to be more lively in order to make the night more fun for the customers. We sat at the bar and talked to the bar tender, who recommended drinks to us. I thought that the licorice infused gin drink I had was good, but needed another element to make it a really great cocktail. The interior of Oak Room is decorated really well, and perhaps I just went there on a quiet night. I might try out Oak Room in the summer, because the location makes it a perfect place to move from outside to inside when you’re ready for another drink. There is a good amount of seating for medium-large groups(there’s a prime couch area located in the front room next to a fireplace with enough seats for about 8 people).

YES. Fantastic cocktail bar. My friends and I crowded in here last night to get a few sneaky cocktails while we were in the area. I lamented my lack of hat(both bar staff were wearing flat caps as well as the only other customer in the bar) and they lent me a hat from behind the bar for the duration of the evening(as well as charging my phone for me!) I let the bar staff take me on a journey of the cocktails *they* wanted to make me and unusually that meant Daiquiris made with various rums, a fantastic mai tai(Not one of those pint glasses full of oddly coloured liquids but a small classy affair with some tasty rum in it) and a few other interesting concoctions. Pricing was actually quite reasonable(For the six of us I think the bill came to about 1900dkk in the end) and given that we’re in Denmark that seems pretty tempered. Staff were wonderful company all night long and even ordered us our taxis to get to the train station. Will be back.

You want cocktails??? Then go to oak room! It’s a hidden bar with the entrance at the tip corner of a building. You really need to know it exists to find it. There are two rooms, two bars. In the first room there are some low sofas with little tables but they usually are taken so I end up at the second room which has often more space. The lighting is quite low and the music varies from time to time. What I can definitely say though it’s not a place for dancing. The cocktails are well made and the bartenders take it quite seriously when they make them so you won’t be disappointed. One star is missing cause in winter time it can get too crowded, which is a bit frustrating when you want to relax and enjoy. But it is worth a visit!

A chic cocktail bar with low benches near the windows, outdoor seating, and a row of bar-stools at the bar. The cocktail list is good, with inventive drinks. The beer list is very short and included one about 5 bottles(Negro Modelo, Brooklyn Lager and some others I can’t recall). Crowd looked mid to late twenties and pretty well dressed. Not a student bar that’s for sure. The prices are a little high: cocktails are 80 – 90 Kr and beers are 45 – 50 Kr). The low bench seating along the windows looked cozy and comfortable, but it was crowded and I didn’t manage to get a seat. There’s not a lot of seating. If you’re in a large group, you’ll have to huddle around one of the high tables scattered around the bar. + cool cocktails + chic décor — prices are on the high end — small beer selection — limited seating
