I’ve only been here once because some of my friends were playing, but it was pretty great. Their whiskey on the rocks is a bit weird though; they serve it in a giant glass with a bit of whiskey and enough ice to brain freeze a small village. Kind of weird. But whatever. The atmosphere is punk and since I like things that are punk, I salute Stengade!

Really cool bar and small band venue with an underground feeling. They serve really cheap cocktails and drinks on Fridays during happy hours, 15 – 21, with no fee to get inside. We paid 35dkk each for a White Russian! And it was super tasty. They also have a huge smoking room in style of a lounge in which you can sit around drinking and smoking and hey even buy a pack from one of the machines. The only downside with this place is that it doesn’t matter how many times I keep coming back, I am constantly confused whether or not there is some other room you can go to downstairs or if it’s only open when there’s a band playing. Feeling dazed and confused. It can also at times be quite cold inside, as if they have no heater at all. This is not a deal breaker though as Stengade has become one of my favorite hangouts. The music is always suitable and when I was there last they even had an amazing playlist with Bowie. Playing old, new and classic songs.

From noise to punk concerts, from balkan to reggae parties. Cool place to hang out, concert hall in the ground floor and a chilling area in the first floor, where smoking is allowed. Definitely on the edgy side, this is one of Nørrebro’s top places.
