Fælledparken captured my heart in 2010 and it really got me today. Like seriously got me. It may not be a huge park nor a sensational one. There’s nothing really special here, but I enjoyed the atmosphere. Mothers and fathers walking by with the strollers and their children playing out loud around. The trampolines, the basketball and volleyball field… everything in Østerbro is chilled and Fælledparken is the proof. There are a lot of benches in case you want to enjoy lunch outdoor with your lover or friend :) Lots of tracked down mills for runners as well. I will definitely come back here to enjoy last shiny days of the season before the Cold and the Darkness come. Want to join me? :)

This is the big lung of Copenhagen. Everybody go here, when the weather is good or for one of the mega events in the park. This is Hyde Park or Central Park of Copenhagen. It’s a playground for children and adults. You can play all sorts of field games, basketball, skate, bmx, skateboard, run, relax in the sun, BBQ, kiss, drink, an so on. The biggest event every year at Fælledparken is the celebration of the 1st of May(International Workers’ Day). The park is packed with all kind of people celebrating. I have also heard opera koncerts, danced salsa, been doing beer relay runs, and much more in the park.

After going to the futbol merchandise store, we still had time to kill. We sat on one of the benches to people watch. There were lots of fit/buff shirtless dudes running laps back and forth. We had the best seats! Haha! Families hanging out, little toddlers on bikes without training wheels, and dudes doing push ups and pull ups. Denmark is the happiest and safest place in the world. Kids are unattended and it’s perfectly fine. Amazing! Must be nice. Lots of running/biking paths or you can go off-roading if you like terrain. There’s a food/drink stand if you ever get tired and hungry.

The first time i was here it was overcast and raining so no one was here. This time? Let’s say it was the opposite! I was here during what they consider«working man’s day» Arbejdernes Kampdag. It was nuts. Thousands of people flooded the park drinking and cavorting. The busses were clogged and it was a sea of humanity all over the grass. Grilling, drinking, dancing, music blaring. Quite the site to see
