Don’t shop here. Go to Fields. I went here. Ate, shopped, wife and daughter got their nails done. Had a decent time. Came down to the car to find a 750 kronor parking ticket because we were there more than 3 hours. Imagine a mall that doesn’t want you to spend time or money at their establishment. Go to Fields. Same stores. More modern.

I come from a country that has thousand sparkly glittery malls, so this review is probably not legit to compare the sad state of Fisketorvet to those 5 – 6 story malls with hundreds of shops with proper food court instead. That said, Fisketorvet has grown into so much better mall than its old self. Once a derelict, dim-light building with so called restaurants with the same food level as take away pizzeria and junk food joints, it now has grown into brightly lighted, full of shops and comfy chairs for the tired shoppers to rest in between their errands. I used to like Fields better than Fisketorvet but now it seems the two have swapped places. We shall see what happens when Fields has their cineplexes installed though. But still, Fisketorvet lies in a very awkward place, albeit it sits right next to Dybbølsbro station where all S tog lines run. Fields is definitely winner when it comes to accessibility. In all fairness, I only find myself wandering here if I have to go to Cinemaxx, the attached cineplex.

Many locals prefer Fisketorvet over Fields, but I found Fisketorvet to be rather boring compared to the latter. This shopping mall is located on a beautiful waterfront, but seems pretty standard, with 120 stores, 15 restaurants, and a 10-screen movie theater, making it the third largest shopping center in Denmark. Even with so many stores, many of them were the same stores we saw over at Fields. On the bright side, there are plenty of free Wi-Fi zones within.

This is a pretty standard mall sort of located behind the Central Train station a bit away from the ‘old town’ areas but still near the canal and a pedestrian bridge bringing you into downtown Copenhagen. Surprisingly(well, maybe to me) it’s only open until 6pm. It doesn’t have much in the way of a food court(our initial goal when we first visited), but does have a few coffee shops and a big supermarket for to-go food. It has 3 levels full of a variety of stores and it is all very well lit and clean. Again, like most of Copenhagen, the prices were a bit spendy for me, but it was fun to windowshop nonetheless :) The movie cinema portion of the mall did seem to be MUCH more popular than the rest of the stores. It could be, though, that the new Hunger Games movie was about to première. Whatever the case, the mall has a little bit of everything and a whole lot of parking(for cars and bikes!)

Copenhagen Mall is just an average mall. You have a range of the typical high street shops, some restaurants(Thai, American diner, Greek, and European standards). The have a lot of WiFi zones with free access to the internet. They do also have a cinema. Where you can see the latest blockbusters — 3D if you want. Best of all you can park your car for free, and you bike can stand indoor, when you are shopping. Copenhagen Mall will give you a free raincover free of charge, so you can get home dry on your bike if it rains. They could improve by a better selection of shops, and not just the standard high street ones. Maybe also could have more entertainment.
