I must admit that I fit the stereotype of women who hate going to building supplies shop. I feel lost there, not knowing what to do — but being adult these days means that you have to take care of your own things even if it includes broken cupboard door, then so be it. Silvan is probably the most«expensive» shop of all building supplies shops in Denmark, but they have more«service» as in you could ask the workers there to give you advice on what to get to fix your problem, something that you might not be able to do in other«discount» building supplies shops. Silvan in Fisketorvet is not particularly big, but again they’re in a shopping mall, so that’s excusable. I’d rather go here than go all the way to Glostrup, Tårnby or wherever the warehouses are usually located. It’s conveniently close and you can shop a set of wrench along with a pair of jeans and that’s rather appealing LOL The workers are friendly and helpful, so do ask them if you need help or unsure which parts that you need. I need advice on some hinges and screws, so I got perfectly good advice and with those I could fix my stuff. Three stars don’t mean it’s bad, it’s just mean that I’m not a fan of building supplies in general and this place is rather crowded with the workers scattered around the place.

This is a very bad business. It will overcharge you and does not know about their products or customers needs. It uses its monopoly to save all friendliness, helpfulness or any kind of customer relations. Do not buy if you can avoid it. Every Kop&Kande, Røverkøb, Bauhaus, Praktiker, or just about anything is better than this hassle.
