I came in for a breakfast on my first day in the city. I can appreciate the atmosphere they are going for even though it’s not my thing. If you want the glutton free brunch you have to order a day in advance, something I didn’t know. A lactose free option didn’t seem available. The regular Brunch was very nice and filling. The staff was very friendly and talkative. I would return if in the city again.

After having read about this place, it definitely seemed like a great place to go for a good brunch. We went early, after having read that the place could be packed if arriving too late, and that was the case. We arrived roughly 15 minutes after it opened and pretty much all tables were full, but we got a table anyway, if we could eat our brunch in roughly an hour. We ordered the brunch menu, which was very pricey and came without coffee/tea. Since this was early in the morning, we went for their latte anyway, ending at around 165kr per person for brunch — having to pay this much, does raise expectations quite a lot. Unfortunately, the expectations were in no way met, as we both received a café latte, that was lukewarm — not quite something you’d expect from a latte. I am not a coffee expert, but it felt off. After receiving the brunch on a plate, which screamed old-fashion, we noticed that we had received a lot more things, that could fit on a single homemade bun. It was only until afterwards, we remembered that the menu should have included rye bread. When asking about it, we were told that they didn’t receive their morning shipment, and we got a small cut in price. They could have told us, instead of abusing the benefit of the doubt and just serving it without telling. I wouldn’t recommend the place for brunch, but I’d say it seems like a really good place for afternoon hygge with tea. I will definitely come back and try that.

What a fun High Tea experience in Copenhagen. You need to try this beautiful and quaint place. It’s a great place to relax. We sat near the back where you can see this beautiful courtyard. Costumer service was exceptional. We met one of the owner and she was amazing along with her friendly and kind staff. There are so many type of teas to choose from. I highly recommend this place, the spread that came with High Tea was great! It came with scones and dessert. Thank you Tante T for a great experience!

If you are looking for a place for an afternoon tea, this is it. But not for lunch or dinner. Their coffee and cinnamon bun were good. Did not try their scones with clotted cream, unfortunately.

Amazing tea selection, fabulous desserts, yummy coffee-based drinks. Is there anything else? This was the perfect place to hole up during a rainy afternoon in Copenhagen.

So you guys, my new occupation is tea. After I quit coffee a few months ago, I needed a replacement that could fill me up with warmth and hygge the way coffee has for the past several years(admittedly I’m still not totally sure they are a fair and equal replacement for each other, but I am learning to understand that there is a time and place for a nice cup of tea). Enter: Tante T This magical tea room has existed for far too long for my first trip there to have been just this last Thursday. But alas, I will make no excuses for my negligence. This place is the Real Deal. Even tea haters can probably appreciate the cozy location and ambiance, the fact that you can literally sniff every single tea option before committing, AND they have CAKE. On tiers. I mean, HELLOTEA-DRINKINGBRITISHPEOPLEOFTHEPLANETYOUHAVEDONEUS A SOLIDWITHTHISTEA(and biscuits/crumpets/cake) TRADITION. While I have no factual data that suggests the Brits are behind tea time, I feel like they should get credit for holding the stereotype, so for that, I wholeheartedly thank them. I shall go for tea and tea time way more often now that I know this place is around. PS: it is actually possible to get a tea that tastes like caramel and cream. I couldn’t bring myself to try it, but just know that it exists, and there is some goodness in that fact.

Considering that fact that I really only drink water, tea, and wine, this falls into one of my go to places for a relaxing place to go and just enjoy the wide variety of teas they have to offer. It sort of reminds me of going into my grandmother’s house with the old pictures on the wall, and old furniture. You are greeted with shelves and shelves of different, exotic teas and an awesome selection of cakes. And they take their tea seriously. They have a tea timer which tells you how to steep a cup of tea perfectly depending if it’s black, herbal or green. And they are very helpful in answering all your questions while selling unique tea accessories. This is a must go to for any tea lover. They also have one in Torvehallerne and they make a killer matcha latte!

Very good service(which is not always the case in Copenhagen) and very very broad tea selection. I love the kvede green tea they serve. I am not a great fan of eating cakes and sugary things with tea, but the scones and cakes do look very good. What I didn’t like was just how dark it was(I went there in December) and the price is a bit high.

Outstanding tea room down in Victoriagade. No detail has been spared in order to create a beautiful old time ambiance, they have even gone to the extent of providing gorgeous vintage magazines for customers to salivate over. Even their advertising post cards are what seems to be their staff properly dressed in 30’s attire, standing right outside the shop(or is that picture true vintage? gotta ask next time). Love the décor! Specially those sweet portraits all over the walls. On any given day you can find an interesting mixture of patrons: the group of gentle faced older ladies sharing an animated conversation over tea and bisquits, a couple of younger friends actually turning cell phones off so they can be with each other, me and my hubby(been a good husband and trading this visit for one to the Mikkeller down the street), etc. The selection of tea is excellent. They prepare real chai in oh so many ways, and the same goes for traditional matcha. I also own a pretty decent collection of their teas, mint chocolate rooibos being my absolute favorite. Actually, one of the main reasons I love their tea is because it’s natural, not the additive laden crap you find this days in the supermarkets. And the cakes! Well, they take the cake!(pun totally intended). Home baked, not overly sweet, with a perfect simplicity that reminds me of grandma. Actually, I’m gonna call her now.

Nice. laid back and the tea is quite good. if you want to avoid the snobbish tea places in town and still get an excellent tea you have to go there. not to mention that it’s the neighbour of the lesbian Bar Vela.
