All the reviews are outdated. Some of the best food I’ve had in my life. Veal cooked perfectly. They aren’t just tapas, full lunch dinner menu.

I love the food here. I recommend the rabbit pot pie, the eggplant and the shrimp creole oh oh and also the mushroom pancakes.

the entire street that antidote is located on is pretty amazing. bakeries, coffee shops, candy shops, boutiques, restaurants, all packed on one long street. we walked into antidote looking for an english version of their menu, which they didn’t have. the girl was so nice and patient and translated every dish they offered. we were greedy and wanted to look at our other options, so left. as we were leaving the girl smiled and wished us a happy weekend(it was friday). we walked to the next shop, but decided to go back to antidote and boy i’m glad we did. the eggplant parm dish that i ordered was just amazing! so much flavor and texture. lightly breaded with a layer of parmesan served with a yummy tomato sauce. my tummy couldn’t be happier.

A few Unilocalers decided to check out this place on its opening night. Haven’t been to LYSTwhich was here before but the street is so nice and the outdoor area is perfect for summer nights. This evening the place was packed and the street was overflowing with happy people, enjoying the last days of summer 2014. I do understand that you can’t serve quality wine on an opening night, but c’mon.giving yourself the name wine bar and then serve crap red wine on opening night. risky. stupid. A common welcome drink would have been better and wouldn’t have stenched the name«Antidote WineBar»…stumbeling before take off Snacks had ran out before we got there, hopefully the organising skills will improve. if you snooze you loose. Sweet bargirl and cosy location are always attractive components however.

I made my second visit at Antidote yesterday evening. My boyfriend and I went for a Tuesday glass of red wine, and since it was Tuesday, it was quite easy to get a table. We spent quite some time looking through the menu, figuring out what we wanted. The price range for red wine by the glass went from around 75 dkk to 120 dkk, and the majority was between 100 – 110 dkk. A bit too expensive for a place like this, where the selection was quite predictable. I went for a red biodynamic glass, and my boyfriend considered a Syrah from the US. He got to taste it before choosing, and when he didn’t like it, he got to taste another one. So a big plus for the service — that all through our evening was really good. The atmosphere at Antidote is good. The interior design is really nice, with small tables, candles and wine bottles in the windows. When the sun is shining, the outdoor seating is fantastic. However, I will just recommend Antidote to some of my friends: My friends not knowing that much about wine. For someone not knowing very much about wine, this is the perfect wine bar. Because Antidote only has«safe choices» at the menu. «What you see is what you get.» However, for people knowing something about wine, I would always recommend them to continue down in Jægersborggade to the wine bar Terroiristen next door. Terroiristen has a much bigger selection of wines, better wines, more interesting wines — but still with something in every price range. So. Terroiristen shows you how great the world of wine can be — if you dare to try it. Antidote is a nice alternative if you want an expensive safe choice, good service and some nice atmosphere.

This is the old Lyst on jægersborggade turned into a wine bar. I was quite surprised that Lyst closed, but antidote is a good replacement. A very differing concept from Lyst. I like that more wine bars have been opening in cph as there is a too large ratio difference between bars/pubs and wine bars. Antidote is quite small, maybe 10 tables plus the bar. On a Tuesday night it was full so people have already embraced the wine bar concept. The age average was probably 30+ which makes sense for this concept. It is quite simply decorated and the bar woman was helpful to explain the wines and to let us taste what we wanted. The glass price varies from 55dkk to around 80dkk. I find it quite reasonable. I saw that people also were ordering food so it is also possible to have dinner. The food looked quite good but can’t judge only by the cover. Antidote is definitely a place I will go back to for a glass of wine.
