We were two couples of whom one was a vegetarian. The restaurent has the same owners as Era Ora, the italian one-star Michelin restaurent nearby. We ordered the short menu with three courses and the wine menu. The white wine was served by the manager. It had a straw yellow colour and tasted of petroleum and was clearly no good. We complained to the waiter who tasted it at the table and said he thought it was ok! He brought a new bottle that was excellent. But i allways feel bad about waiters who doubt my judgment about wines. The first two courses were excellent dishes. Our vegitarian guest was forgotten and had to wait for her meal. The main course was pork cheek with polenta. Well i never liked pork cheeks, cheap food, and especially not with tasteless polenta. The following red wines in the menu were excellent. Prices are fair. But some improvements needed.

L’Altro calls itself an ‘Antiristorante’ meaning that guests should not feel like they are in a restaurant, but should enjoy ‘home-cooked’ Italian food and wine. The restaurant is small but cosy and the food was excellent. You are required to eat either a short or full menu(the full menu also features dessert and cheese) and they offer three different matching wine menus. The food was delicious, simple and tasty and the wine menu matched it nicely. Our glasses were refilled each time we emptied them so the price for the matching wines was well worth it. Good restaurant.
