Yes, it is a chain coffee shop(although as a Canadian you could have fooled me since it doesn’t exist in Canada) but it has some good drinks and friendly service, so I’m not sure you can ask for too much more. I’m a big fan of the mocha here. I think it’s the chocolate they put in it and let melt. Delicious. Prices maybe a bit high. But everything I’ve seen in Copenhagen is fairly pricy.

Fabulous coffee and espresso drinks — honestly the best Caffe Americano I’ve ever been served outside Italy. Also, the drip was quite good for Europe and my wife and daughter were very happy with their cappuccinos. Baresso also serves the best yogurt(a greek-ish skyr) I’ve ever been able to buy in a café. The kanelgrod — a spiced yogurt-y muesli — was also very tasty and not too sweet(unlike most muesli). However, the baked goods were more of a mixed bag — the kanelbolle(cinnamon bun) was delicious but the croissants were just OK. The staff were helpful and friendly and more than happy to serve us non-Danish speaking tourists. Do note that the hours are not correct — they do not open until 8:30 on Sat and Sun.

This place, along with every other Baresso chain, is overpriced and has horrible coffee. The drip filter coffee is one of the cheaper items, but is still more expensive than a cappucino or latte elsewhere. And the coffee isn’t good. It’s burnt and tastes worst than starbucks coffee. I don’t ever want to come here again.

It’s across from the hotel, and has Americano, so I don’t know what I could complain about. Standard high(to my sensibilities) prices, but the coffee tastes good, and the staff is quite friendly. I’ll probably be back here before my trip is over.

When you make it into Copenhagen early in the morning, it seems a lot of cafes are still not open. But, Baresso was open early and close to the central station. So, we decided to start our day here. Of course, we selected a nice danish pastry to go with our coffees. The pastries were quite good with a light, flaky texture. Coffee was OK, nothing special. But considering the location and the fact they are up and running if you arrive here early, makes Baresso a great option for a light breakfast.

This is the best place for coffee, my local friend told me last year when I visited. This year I brought my family :) Since I’m not a coffee-lover I can’t really rate the coffee, but the apple juice and danish pastries are allright. It doesn’t have the«homebaked» feeling, but still OK. The staff at this place is really friendly — we tried to understand the Danish words for numbers, really different from our Swedish but the girls behind the counter really made an effort to help us. Free wifi is a bonus. Location is great. Great place for a «fika» :)
