Went there for drinks with friends. It’s a decent place to have drink but not to talk. It’s pretty loud. We went there when it was packed and it was always a struggle having to get the drinks from the counter. But it was the first time in KBH that a bartender understood what a virgin mojito was! And that’s cool.

Good food. Good service. It’s an OK place. The food is good and the service is OK. But no more no less. I always come here because I meet other people.

I’ve been coming here a lot usually just for beer but also for food over the last couple of years. I have never bothered to do a review. But this time the food has been degrated awfully to something they just preheat, all dishes are almost the same they just substitute the meat. So many good places on vesterbro even the other Cafés on this square is better, i don’t really understand why this place survives, please support somebody else, that are actually trying to make food.

Lots of food options for the Sunday Brunch Buffet, but not user friendly for someone who doesnt know the Danish language. I sat at a table to eat and was not told it was reserved until the people who made reservationsa arrived. They rudely made faces at me and started sitting arround the table, the waiter came and offered to move me, but it was inconvenient and I preferred to leave. Paid the equivalent of $ 15 usd.

Kinda cheap but pretty shitty brunch. Terribly incompetent and at times rude service. Head waiter completely failed to handle a situation where four guests were being rude and even threatening to other guests trying to enjoy brunch. Which was already a challenge as the food left more to wish for than to eat in peace. When I complained the waiter did nothing and did not even apologize. There is so much good stuff around here. Don’t choose this one!

Service and food here is horrendous. Nice location. Rude and slow service, no table watering. Food is substandard but cheap.

I have only been here once for brunch, but it won a little place in my Vesterbro neighborhood heart. The inside is very cozy and themed with this French cartoon, and weird things on the walls. They have a great brunch spread, and you can tell that this is where people just stop in on their weekend mornings. They also have a massive outside eating area which is very handy in good weather. The place is usually busy which speaks for the good prices and decent food. The service can be touch and go depending on how busy it is, but overall, this is a cozy neighborhood spot which I think can definitely help define to foreigners what the Vesterbro vibe is.

Well, we were originally on our way to a 4.5 star rated Unilocal establishment in the area, got lost, and ended up here. Not a bad substitute, but not quite the same 4.5 stars. Located just off of a very cute square, Café Obelix has both indoor and outdoor seating(still available with heaters and blankets). We were reading the menu outside and were greeted by a very friendly waitress who sat us down inside(the tables were rather close together in there). You are given the menu and then order at the bar. Unfortunately, we had just missed happy hour prices for beer, but they accept student IDs for discounted drinks(and some apps) all the time. So I grabbed a beer and the meal of the day — «vienna sausage and potatoes». More like cut up hot dogs and potatoes. It wasn’t very good, but for the price(69DKK) it was a steal of a dinner on a Friday night in Copenhagen. My boyfriend got the roastbeef, which looked and tasted ok. Both of our meals came with fresh salads on the plate, but unfortunately no dressing. «Lucky» for me the«hot dogs and potatoes» came in a cream sauce that was so overflowing it made the salad more into a vegetable soup. Didn’t exactly sit too well. After the waitress seated us, we really didn’t have any more interaction with the staff(besides to go up to the bar and order food). The food was very fast and so was the busboy cleaning up tables — need that turnover to make money! The entire restaurant is Obelix themed — some sort of very large comic man that I’ve heard about but am not 100% familiar with. There are pictures and knick-knacks everywhere making it quite homey. However, it’s also quite loud. All in all, great staff, so-so food, and good atmosphere.

On a Saturday night at 21:00, we didn’t think any place would be open for dinner so we stumbled in here and were quite happy when they said they were still serving. This place is VERY unassuming, its a cozy atmosphere and not chichic at all. I had their stew and it was TODIEFOR. Absolutely delicious, tasted very homey. I was surprised as I didn’t expect it to turn out so … great. But we were very happy with our meals and the affordable prices(difficult to find in Copenhagen). For dessert we had the belgian waffles topped with creamy ice cream– SOGOOD. Also the ladies who were helping us were cheery and very sweet, and patient with our efforts to understand the menu. To conclude, had a really nice time here with some mates even though we didn’t expect it to be so delicious.

Quite possibly the worst food in Copenhagen, or second worst. It’s baffling to see this joint packed, while the much better Barbar Bar nearby is often much less crowded. Avoid. Not nice! Avoid the salads most of all.
