The notorious Jaguar Bodega, what can be said more about it? All I can tell that this place is legendary in Amager, as in everyone knows Jaguar Bodega :) Not far from Amagerbro metro station, this place is exactly what you have in mind when you think about the Bodega, sadly that includes the smoking part. They do have separated smoking section on the back so that helps a bit, but other than that, I might want to avoid this place when there are too many people. On a weekdays, maybe — if I can’t get to other bar but definitely no on weekend. That said, Richard S and I «celebrated» the J-dag here last year, you could just picture how packed this place is, full of happy with people with blue Santa hat clutching a bottle of Tuborg Juleøl, naturally. It’s really not that bad and If I have a beer emergency, I wouldn’t mind going in, but otherwise — I’ll skip it.

A nice place, good mood, cheap beer. Not fancy or official in any capacity. People wear everyday clothing. Different genres of music, atm. It’s blues, earlier jazz and pop. Lots of high spirits, and people playing yatzy and slot machines. A good plac for a laid back evening out.

This is a fairly roomy bodega with smartly-dressed bartenders and a cozier atmosphere than most(at least the night we were here). The drink prices are comparable to most other dives and there are a lot of great, smoke-stained paintings and posters to entertain you while enjoying a beer. Yeah, you can smoke in here but it’s not so bad if there aren’t a lot of people. I’m not out on amager that often but I wouldn’t mind stopping by here for a pint on the way back to ‘the city.’
