Awesome market for veggies I can’t seem to get in Netto or the other grocery markets, and when I don’t feel like going to the Asian markets near central station. The people there are friendly and were helpful when I was in obvious distress about my inability to read the labels on certain packaging. Definitely a winner for a neighborhood market.

As fellow Unilocaler Mina K. pointed out to me, this is one of the reliable places to get napa cabbage and daikon. Sure, those aren’t the most exciting Asian vegetables, but their blandness makes them perfect for so many dishes. The available selection fluctuates throughout the week and some of the vegetables don’t always look fresh. I still haven’t figured out what day is the best to go (whenever they get their delivery I guess).
Great selection of National brand boxed spices. They had the jalfrezi mix that I couldn’t find a Dhadra.

this is a fantastic green grocer to have nearby. the last time i held a kimchi-​making class, i already bought all the good-​looking daikon radishes and napa cabbages from kabul and afghan market, but didn’t have enough. don’t know why i didn’t think to check nørrebro torvet sooner; they had both of the vegetables i was looking for, at the same price as the aforementioned shops and quick, friendly service. though they may not have every fruit or veg you are looking for, the quality is very good and the price is right.
