Visited the bar last night with a group of friends to watch football. First and foremost I thought the prices for such ordinary beer as Carsberg or Tuborg Classic being at 54DKK was a bit too high. Other beers such as Hoegaarden, Newcastle ale were for 60DKK per pint. The interior itself was pretty specious with a lot of TV’s and chairs/couches to sit on. I came to watch a champions league match. There were two games played at the same time but they divided the area into two so everyone could freely enjoy the game they were interested in. There are also pool tables, darts and fussball. All in all a good experience especially for someone wanting to watch sports but the prices were a bit on the high end.

We were a group of around 15 Greeks watching our national team. We all sat very comfortable without squeezing and enjoyed the big screens(but not the Danish broadcasting). Although the pubs closing time on Sundays is 23:00, they stayed open for extra time and penalty shot-out(I’m still trying to expel this memory!), BUT… no drinks served! What kind of business doesn’t want to make more money??? Regular beer is sold super expensive, but the weird thing is that special beers have the same price as f.e. Tuborg… so they cost quite normal. I was really happy that they had Newcastle Brown on the tap(60kr for 50cl, 75kr for 75cl… guess which I had) and they also served a limited selection of snacks. I got the bowl of nachos for 55kr and I was surprised of how gig it was. I’ve paid double elsewhere for same portion with less taste! At the back, there are pool tables, real darts, fussball, air-hockey and slot machines for those who are interested. Smoking is not allowed inside, but there is a screen at the bar looking towards the exit, so you won’t miss something if you want to enjoy a cigarette.

Depending on the type of sport, how long Denmark has managed in the tournament and whether or not the game is shown on public television or reserved for pay-per-view channels really decides if this bar is overly crowded or completely empty. I guess that is how it is with all sport bars. But they have everything such a bar should have. 10000 televisions and every time I have been there, the game I wanted to see has been on. Prices are. regular and the bar is big and filled with bartenders, a pint of beer is never out of reach.

Its great to watch soccer in there. They even watch games other than the denmark national team. The beer is pretty expensive compared to Germany. 7 € for a beer(cider). Still worth going to.
