Very nice bar just outside the busy center of CPH. Great place to relax with nice view over the lakes. Awesome beer on tap!

Looking for more out of your beer than the classic Danish Carlsberg or Tuborg offer? Nothing wrong with the classics, but coming to Copenhagen from the Beervana of Portland, Oregon(a town about the same size as Copenhagen and which can claim some of the highest per capita stats for craft microbreweries in the States) we always appreciate local and unique beer fare. Søernes Ølbar located on the lakes in Østerbro offers just that — 20 taps with lots of Danish and Scandi beer options. Nice to have such choices not just in the bottle — which is more common around here it seems. Cozy and candlelit in winter but with tables outside on the lakeside come spring. A charming spot sitting alongside the bike path near Sorterdams Sø(lake) — look both ways before carrying your carefully curated beverage across to your table or beware the wrath of the commuting bicyclist DING! Staff is always knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions and offer a sample before you commit.

It’s easy to fall in love with Søernes Ølbar. To admire its warm-painted walls, its rustic fixtures and its countrified wooden tables. And it’s even simpler to can’t help looking at the fully-stuffed blackboard with beer names, their gradations, the description of their ingredients… whether it’s lager, pils or pale; spelt, hop or malt, there’s only one thing you will not stop thinking: «I adore beer, and I can’t live without it. And I’m aware of it.» That’s what kept on running through my mind when my heart was full of joy — in a non-usual kinda-uncomfortable situation, but that’s another story… — looking at the wide choice of beers, feeling numb and happy. I don’t exactly remember which beers I took as after four your brain can get a little fuzzy and trick you. But there was wheat in one and I loved it. It might have been number 3(if they haven’t provided to change the list yet, that I doubt). Prices are around 60kr for a large beer and 40kr for a small one. Anyway, I wouldn’t recommend to take the small version as it’s VERY small and it’s only a difference of 20kr. It’s worth it. On the other hand, if you are craving for another beer but you’re already tipsy and planning on going back home by bike, then you WILLHAVETO fall back on it. Beer lovers, intimacy seekers, Copenhagers: this is the place you were looking for. Period.

Great selection of beers! Helpful bartender as one comes to expect in a place like this. Little bit like a dungeon inside… maybe that’s part of the appeal. Don’t really mind taking the beer outside and people watching along the water. People in here were immediately welcoming and excited to share their bar with newcomers. Sign of a good vibe going on here. Worth checking out!

Fine beer, lousy service. Holes in the tables increase risk of spilling beer, which is shrugged off by the bartender

Best beer bar in Kobenhavn. They have a constantly changing tap list with Nordic brews, as well as rare finds from the US and elsewhere. Location could not be better on the lakes and super cozy inside. Knowledgeable staff will let you taste first and direct you to what you may like. Can’t say enough good things A++++++!!

There’s a lot of great beer bars in Copenhagen, but this has to be one of the best. 20 very different beers on taps both from Denmark and the rest of the world. The selection changes often! Simply excellent.

This is really a pearl along the lakes. They have great beer — and lots of different ones to chose between — and the atmosphere is really awesome. Lots of little nooks and crannies in the several smaller rooms making up the bar. There is also outside seating with a perfect view over the lakes. Really a nice and relaxed place that I will look forward to revisit. Have only been there ones, but its instantaneously my favorite place on Østerbro. Of course this is one of those«newer» style beer bars, so get ready to spend 10 – 15 minutes just working out how many beers they have, and forgot about trying them all — there is really a lot here.

Lovely place, when the weather is good the seating outside just near the the lakes is awesome! Beers are also extremely good, and the choice is always good(not only they have 20 beers, but 20 very different and I think carefully selected). Of course you can’t expect a place like that to be cheap, and intact it’s not.

Lovely place to have a beer, especially outdoors on a nice day overlooking the canal. 20 beers on tap and an experienced, friendly bartender when we were there, who was happy to educate and let us sample.

Perfect place to just have a beer and enjoy some conversation with your friends. Good music, but reasonable sound level. Plenty of space, although we got there late.

Great place. And a very welcome addition to Copenhagen’s collection of bars(many of which are deeply depressing). Excellent range of fine beers. Pleasant service. And the crisps were pretty good as well.

My kind of beer bar: calm, cool, a little rustic, and lots of beers on tap.(Ok not always calm if there’s a football match playing on the big screens.) Good space inside and they have outdoor seating along the lake when the weather is nice. Cool wooden bar with 20 taps and lots more bottled options. I prefer the porters they have on tap, boyfriend likes the IPAs, and everyone seems to like the Weihenstephan(I wish they had more wheat beers on tap). Cozy and dark with lots of candles(similar to their Ørsted location). Two very comfortable red armchairs at the front, and lots of less comfortable wooden chairs everywhere else. There’s a sunken second room which makes me feel claustrophobic, but which others might call cozy… to each their own. Occasionally there’s a California girl working at the bar, who is super sweet and helpful.

This new bar sits right on the lake in Østerbro and it’s unassumingly tucked a bit below ground level. The interior has a rustic, comfortable feel, with a sporadic smattering of furniture on which you can settle to enjoy a beer. The layout of the space includes a number of nooks and crannies where you can carve out your own little spot. The have an extensive offering of beers including 20 taps and an overwhelming number of bottles available. Søernes Ølbar has a lot of potential to be a hot little spot, both in the summer weather and as a place to huddle on a chilly winter night. I look forward to my next visit and seeing how the bars develops.

the first thing i notice is that it looks a bit less cluttered than ørsted ølbar, though it has a similar rustic look. there is a little room downstairs that you can look down into, it looks a little cozier than the rest of the place. the bartenders were very nice and helpful in suggesting beers and well-informed on each one. of course you can get a little glass or a big glass, depending whether you want to try everything or if you already found your one true beer love. when summer finally arrives, it will be nice to have a cold one by the lakes if you’re allowed to take glasses outside. very nice bar, i can see myself dropping in regularly.
