Excellent wine selection with very good value for money. Unfortunately the food department is not that interesting, still, you will find products that are impossible to find in other supermarkets, like cannellini beans, grano cotto, cime di rapa(wild broccoli), bottarga(cured fish eggs) and other Sardinian specialities like gnocchetti or pane carasau. The coffee selection is a bit sad and not very impressive. The same for the fresh pasta. A pity they don’t have Giovanni Rana products, they are simply the best, especially concerning fresh lasagne sheets.

In terms of Italian products, if your local grocery store doesn’t have it… Supermarco will.(And you can also double check on their website that they do before heading out to the store). I needed orzo for a specific dish and none of my local grocers carry it. My husband was recommended Supermarco from a co-worker so we decided to check it out. They have every pasta imaginable, but tbh, you can find most of their products in any store(minus the orzo for me). I agree with other reviewers in that the store seemed to be more wine-oriented and I would have preferred more food items. I will note that they do carry provolone cheese(which I have not seen anywhere else in KBH!) but it was incredibly expensive, so I decided to pass on it. I’d still recommend Supermarco to any Italian food fan and I think it’s a great place to check out for it’s unique stock. It is a perfectly adequate Italian store and I am glad I have it to supply all of my Italian food needs.

It was nice to know that there was a dedicated Italian supermarket here in the capital. However, when I went there, I was dissatisfied by how little the choices are. Mostly the store was filled with alcohol beverages, secondly biscuits & cookies, third was pesto. The fresh produce, cheese and sausage was only at the two counters on the back. No sommelier on the wine counter either. The fresh produce like greens, some of it were no longer fresh. They did serve some kind of buffet or restaurant(much like the one in Ikea). Honestly, I was unimpressed because it was nothing compare to the Italian wholesale supermarket in Hamburg. I gave it three stars because I did like their choices of gelato(ice cream). Sizes ranging from a cup to a whopping 5 litres box. Overall, they need to have more specialty stuff, especially sausages and cheese.
