The hotel was perfectly located outside the bustle of the centre, but only a 5 minute walk to get there, and even less to the baths. The room and bathroom were a good size and very clean, Incredibly helpful owners who were very nice and spoke excellent English. Some of the rooms don’t have access to an elevator so ask if you need one. The breakfast was good and overall a great value for your money.

We spent 3 nights at the Hotel am Markt and loved every minute of it. The ladies who own and operate the place are very helpful and know how to take care of their guests. The breakfast is fresh, with a ton of options for every type of appetite. The room was comfortable and clean, and the hotel is centrally located, close to anything you need in Baden-Baden. And, being near Feidrichsbad Roman Irish bath was great. We will definitely stay here when we are in Baden-Baden again.

We spent one night here, to explore Baden-Baden and to visit the spas. We only paid 65 euros for our double room with en suite WC(shower down a floor) plus spa tax(which you’ll pay everywhere) plus 4 euros for parking(there is a free lot several blocks away, but it was worth four euros for the convenience) — it was a bargain for being so close to the spas and the sights. The room was small… a bit sparse, but super clean and having a toilet & sink en suite was really handy. One small flight of stairs to the elevator, then we could take the elevator to the next floor with the suitcase. Room 25 has a double bed without dual frames, so you can attempt to sleep next to your partner, at least. It faces the church… the bells actually didn’t bother me. We were out and about until about 10, so we didn’t hear them at night and I slept through them until we woke up. I liked being able to see the church, the street & the old palace out the window. If you are a light sleeper or go to bed earlier, I can see it being a problem. I loved the entire property — the little TV room on the ground floor, the computer room on the 2nd floor and the wonderful porch across from the church. It was a very delightful building. The staff were all friendly and went from German to English and back again with ease. Even at breakfast when they were busy, everyone was greeted in a friendly manner and no one waited very long for their coffee, chocolate or tea. At check out, we paid for our room & parking as well as purchased discounted tickets to Friedrichsbad(2 euros savings per ticket). We were able to keep our car in the parking while we went to the spa and toured the casino. If you want to stay somewhere for under $ 100 per night with breakfast and easy access to all of Baden-Baden’s treasures… stay here!
