After living in Kreuzberg for four years, Chef Andy (Naples, Italy) had a vision for a community café on his own street. And so Ragù was born!

Chef Andy was born in Naples, Italy and received his diploma at Gambero Rosso. He has worked as a chef in kitchens in Italy, Australia, and Berlin. He specializes in «La Cucina Napoletana,» including 8-​hour stews, pizza and pasta.

We’re on vacation visiting from the U.S. and are so happy that we came across this place. It was a perfect place to celebrate our new engagement! The chef, Andy, is in love with his craft. Be sure to stand at the counter and watch him do his thing. The food is incredible. We had the soup of the day, pizza, some appetizers, linguini, and the ragu of the day. Definitely ask for the ricotta-​filled pastry dessert at the end. We were told it takes a day to just make the dough. Cute, intimate atmosphere with just a few tables and warm lighting. Will definitely recommend the place to friends and family!

…und nun endlich neben dem grandiosen Kaffee auch die leckeren neapolitanischen Ragus. Geschmacklich besticht das traditionell Gekochte mit frischen Noten, die dem Essen eine gewisse Leichtigkeit geben. Die kleine Auswahl — alles frisch — und die Möglichkeit zwischen zwei Portionsgrößen zu wählen lässt mich sehr gerne zum Mittag und/​oder Abend wiederkommen. Danke!

My boyfriend & I recently traveled to Berlin & stumbled upon this café. It has a very laid back, welcoming atmosphere & its decorated with hand knitted décor! I had the salty muffins with curry & prosciutto & the Neapolitan coffee! If you like strong, good coffee this is the place to go! It was too die for. My boyfriend had the brownies & of course I took a bite. The brownies were rich and delicious! The staff were very sweet & attentive. Too bad we can’t travel often to Germany!

Discovered this gem recently on a business trip to Berlin. Don’t let the scaffolding in front deter you.
Inside you’ll find a warm and welcoming setting serving Neopolitan style coffee. The coffee is delicious and strong, true to Neopolitan style. The space is decorated with art and hand knitted scarfs and hats. Andy and Marc were great hosts and very knowlegeable about the area. I look forward to visiting again the next time I am in Berlin.

A Cappuchino is at 2 euros, tastes strong and italian-​roasted, the milk foam is more 2nd wave-​type than 3rd wave, not fine but «coarse».
Nice staff and atmosphere.
There were also some cakes available.
