Lufthansa Business Lounge

So THIS is how the other half lives, huh? I decided to treat myself and buy a premium economy upgrade for the second leg of a very long journey. I had a 13 hour layover in Frankfurt and when I got there, I wasn’t really sure what I was going to do with myself. I was exhausted and desperately in need of some relaxing/​rest. Luckily, the Lufthansa worker told me that another perk of the new premium economy class is that you get admission to the business class lounge for another 25 euros. I wasn’t really sure what to expect but I went for it anyways, figuring I’d get at least some food and drinks out of it.
Maybe I’m just not used to business-​class traveling, but this lounge was a lifesaver. It blew my expectations out of the water. It had all of the amenities I could ever want and more during a long layover. First of all, the lounge is HUGE. It could comfortably seat a few hundred folks but it was never more than a quarter full the whole time I was there. There are plenty of comfy leather chairs and each chair has an outlet! There’s a few reclined lounge chairs for those who really want to relax. I ended up napping on one of those for a few hours, given that they were tucked away in a darker corner of the lounge. Little did I know that a proper napping area is set aside in the opposite corner of the lounge! I didn’t go in but I assume they have actual beds there– a life saver for anyone who needs to catch a bit of rest during their layover!
They always had a nice spread of light food and snacks out, salads, soups, cheeses, and lots of fruit. They have soft drinks, water, beer, wine, coffee, and tea available and you can drink to your heart’s desire.
I was a little hesitant about using the shower facilities because in my mind, I wasn’t expecting much. I was expecting a little shower stall and that’s it. But in this lounge, there’s about 8 or so full bathrooms with very large showers. The bathrooms are beautiful and kept incredibly clean. It was so refreshing to have a hot shower after my first long flight. They provided towels and any toiletries you needed.
The wifi was fast and reliable, and as I mentioned earlier there are more than enough outlets for all of your charging needs.
All in all, if you have a long-​ish layover in Frankfurt and you’re an economy traveller, it is TOTALLY worth the premium economy upgrade to get access to the lounge. The people working in the lounge were polite, the lounge itself was immaculately clean, and the amenities were top notch and a relief to this weary traveller. I won’t hesitate to come again, any chance I get.

Bei meinem Besuch in der Lounge im A-​Finger (Non Schengen) war es zum Glück angenehm leer. So kann das sehr helle und elegante Design des großen Raumes sehr gut wirken, was auch die großen Fenster zum Vorfeld hin unterstrichen wird.
Die Auswahl an Essen und Getränken ist im internationalen Vergleich eher mäßig: Ja, es gibt was, aber weder ist viel Auswahl vorhanden, noch sind die Portionen ansprechend. Mehr als ein Häppchen gegen den größten Hunger kann es nicht sein.

This lounge was a life-​saver. After 13 hours of flying and then being greeted with a 6-​hour layover before my next flight, I was ecstatic to gain entry to what I can only describe as a piece of heaven in an airport. The complimentary juices, yogurt, cheese, Franziskaner beer, big Bavarian pretzels, free-​wifi and other goodies are definitely excellent perks, but the biggest draw for me? The private shower rooms.
To access the shower area, you’ll need to check in with the woman guarding them (she doesn’t have the best bedside manner) and she’ll help you check-​in and will then hand you a buzzer. Once your buzzer goes off, head back to the shower facilities where you’ll be led to a private room complete with toilet, sink, and a large shower loaded with soaps and shampoo. After you’re done, towel off and dry your hair with one of the modern hair dryers. Nothing feels as good as starting fresh and clean en route to your final destination!
I also had the opportunity to check out Lufthansa’s Senator Lounge but honestly, this one is just as nice.

Eine ganz nette Lounge um kurz innezuhalten. Leider ist sie oft völlig überlaufen.

One of the better version of business class lounges — excellent shower amenities and details available for the discretionary traveller. The lounge has an abundance of newspapers, magazines, sitting arrangements and most importantly a very good café area for our caffeine needs. I thoroughly enjoy everything Lufthansa. This isn’t any different from their world class service oriented business model.

Sehr schöné, große und helle Lounge. Sehr gutes Angebot an Getränken, Snacks und Zeitungen, dazu das kostenlose WLAN Angebot der Telekom.
Hier kann man es sehr gut aushalten beim warten.

Clean, plenty of seating, available sleeping area, typical Lufthansa food selection. Bathrooms were rather small in comparison to other lounges but this didn’t seems to cause any issues or lines. Still far better than any US lounge. I’ve seem much better in the Frankfurt airport but I was still happy to have all the typical items for comfort. I liked how this lounge was so large in space that they had every type of seating option for use. This makes it easy to transition from eating/​food/​work.

Comfortable, clean & plenty of seats

I was happy to get in the Lufthansa Business Lounge after a long flight from DC. The amenities are pretty good with hot foods like chicken wings and soup in addition to the usual lounge ‘food’ like crackers and cookies. But the best part of this lounge is that they have showers. Nothing feels better than a shower after a long flight, and before the next long flight!

Senator/​Business Lounge is one of reasons I choose Lufthansa.
Pluses are Wi-​Fi, quiet, ample AC (European) outlets, food, drink, and clean showers halfway thru the trip.
United should hire some of the people who operate these lounges, and adopt a hospitality culture
Star Alliance benefit… a big deal to me

Not the best, but definitely better than most airport lounges in the US. Comfortable seating, adequate snacks, free wi-​fi and friendly staff. Bathrooms are ok (certainly better than those in the airport in general), but not always very clean. And during «push times» this place gets mobbed to the point where it’s difficult to find somewhere to sit. Having said all of that, I’ve been here before and will be back. It is not a bad experience and definitely beats wandering around the airport aimlessly to kill time before your flight.

Lufthansa has some of the better business class Lounges among western carriers. Clean, bright, well appointed. I especially like the leather beds to catch a nap if you have a long layover.
The food and beverage bar is quite excellent with very good options for even the most fussy passenger.

Ja, die Business Lounges der Lufthansa in FFM sind schon sehr nett.
Kostenloses Essen und Trinken, ein Platz zum Arbeiten oder Ausruhen — alles schon gesagt.
Was ich WIRKLICH schätze sind die Duschen:
Nach einem Übersee-​Flug, wenn man noch 3h auf die Weiterreise warten muss, dann ist das ein Hammer! Sehr sauber — sehr zu empfehlen!

Granted, I did not have a chance to use the F lounge at Munich on my way back home from this trip, but this was probably the best airport lounge I have been in to date. Just a nose better than the ANA business lounges at Narita.
Lots of food variety, lots of drink variety, including very nice coffee machines. They change their menu as breakfast turns in to lunch, and even have a pretzel cart that comes around to the seating areas. Pretzel delivery to my seat beats the ramen bar in Narita. Very large lounge with lots of comfortable seating, all with convenient power ports. And very nice shower facilities — practically bigger than my bathrooms at home, and a welcome refresher after an overnight flight.
Will I have a chance to visit again? I sure hope, but who knows when I’ll be in Germany on a business class ticket. I think Star Alliance Gold would get you in to this lounge — that’s probably the only way I’ll see the inside again.

Compared to the few other business lounges I’ve visited, this one takes the cake. Plenty of seating for all, at least on the occasions I’ve visited. The selection of free eats and drinks could satisfy even the most weary traveler. Free wi-​fi. Its kept clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Since access is free to frequent flyers and those with business class tickets, I recommend you stop in if you qualify.

Guter Platz um sich ein wenig zu erholen. Das Angebot an Speisen und Getränken geht voll in Ordnung. Man kann sein Telefon oder Laptop aufladen, es sind ausreichend Plätze da. Alles gut. Das einzige, was man bemängeln könnte, ist die Atmosphäre, es ist schon ein wenig wie auf dem Bahnhof, richtig Ruhe finden ist nicht wirklich möglich. ABER es ist ja auch ein Flughafen, da muss da wohl so sein

Es herrscht so ein gedämpftes ständiges Klappern mit Glas, Porzellan und
Besteck vor, aber das gehört zu den Lounges wohl weltweit. Die Business
Lounge von Lufthansa in Frankfurt ist sehr groß und bietet verschiedene
Sitzmöglichkeiten, ob in Ruhestühlen, Sesseln, Stühlen an Tischen oder
Hochstühlen zum Arbeiten am Computer. Ständig ist der Service unterwegs
um Nach– oder Wegzuräumen. Reisen ist Warten auf das Losfahren,
Weiterfliegen, Ankommen. Und jeder wartet hier anders. Die einen
futtern, als gäbe es in der Luft nichts mehr, die anderen versuchen sich
rotweinmüde zu trinken und dann in der Luft zu schlafen. Derzeit
Oktoberfestwochen– gibt es Leberkäse und Kartoffelsuppe zu Essen. Da
kultiviere ich meinen Hunger lieber für irgendwo über dem Nordatlantik.
Die Damen am Eingang sitzen dort, wie die Hüter des Grals, hier kommt
keiner vorbei, der sich nicht qualifiziert — was hier heißt Business
Class Ticket oder eben Vielflieger. So, das war es, ich muss los zum
Flieger.

Not bad, not bad. It looks and feels fancy, but there’s little going on when you finally take it in.
They had a gigantic platter of European pickles — aka the most delicious things on the planet — so I’m a happy camper; a cappuccino machine doubled that.
Overall, can’t complain, but I wouldn’t be so happy as a paying 1^st class woo-​hoo passenger. Thank goodness for airline miles. They make shortcomings much more tolerable.

Much nicer than the other Star Alliance Lounge I get to utilize leaving SFO. I’m never going to complain when you have drinks of every variety freely flowing (did I say free?) at all hours. I kinda crack up at the «special» which both times was the lovely «hot dog». Eeesh.
So the food isn’t going to be all that fulfilling compared to other lounges like this, but other aspects that allow you to relax, refresh, and work … top notch.

While the lounge was comfortable and well maintained — there was better food at other airport lounges for star alliance. I get that it’s Frankfurt airport — but they served hot dogs as the main dish. How disappointing :(

This almost makes the ridiculous price of Biz class seem worth it. It’s such a nice change to have outlets at every seat, free wifi and clean bathrooms. They had a breakfast spread, drinks of all sorts, and even wine and liquor… which I really wanted to start downing but it was 10am when I was there, felt a tad bit early for that.

Fuer Vielflieger der beste Platz, um noch schnell etwas zu arbeiten oder die Kollegen vor Abflug zu treffen. Klar, manchmal sehr voll und die Häppchen sind manchmal etwas dürftig, aber dennoch bin ich immer wieder gerne dort.

Eher Mittelmaß als Spitzenplatz. Es gibt hier endeutig zu viel auf zu engem Raum. Das Angebot an Getränken und Tageszeitungen ist in Ordnung, die Speisenauswahl in Form von Brezeln, Kartoffelsalat, Würstchen und ein paar Snacks ist nicht gerade passend. Immer noch besser als unten im Gewühl zu sitzen.

Spontan 5 Sterne dafuer, dass es am Empfang gegen Pfand Steckeradapter gibt. Wie oft hat das woanders schon nicht geklappt??? Grandios und vielen Dank Lufthansa!!!

da war ich vor zwei Tagen.
nah, die ist geil wie ein vierjahreszeitenschrank. Ob es die gibt oder nicht macht kein Unterschied meinem Leben. Darauf kann ich verzichten. da geh ich lieber in ein nettes Plätzchen und esse was.

Die Lounge ist umgezogen und kommt jetzt etwas moderner daher und etwas ungünstiger gelegen (aber das muss ich noch genauer austesten).
Insgesamt finde ich die Lounge ungemütlicher (d.h. etwas kühler) als früher aber gleichzeitig auch praktischer: Es gibt jetzt auch Arbeitstische (und ich meine nicht die alten, keimigen Schmoll-​Nischen) und eine Kinderecke habe ich, glaube ich, auch erspäht wow. +
Oh Mann ich hab die Mutter aller StarAlliance Business Lounges noch nicht geqyped?
OK ganz schnell:
— Kostenloses WiFi
— Essen ist ok mittags Hotdogs, Suppe und Salat (bessere Auswahl gibt’s in der Business-​Lounge Szene meines Wissens nicht). Ansonsten Kekse, Snacks etc.
— Getränkeauswahl ist sehr gut (Erfrischungsgetränke, Alkohol und Kaffee aller Art)
— gibt ein paar (notorisch besetzte) Denk-​Zellen mit Sichtschutz und Steckdose (und ziemlich keimig bäh!!)
— im hinteren Bereich einen Fernseher und ein paar (wenige) Steckdosen Insgesamt eine ganz korrekte Lounge, nur leider manchmal sehr überlaufen. Immerhin schön große Fenster mit viel Tageslicht und Blick auf die Flugzeuge. FAZIT:
Gute Lounge, oft überfüllt, Buffet und Getränkeauswahl gut. Kostenloses WiFi. Wartesaal-​Charakter.

Der übliche Service, seit neuestem bieten sie dir am Platz sogar Minipzzas an, aber meine war schon ziemlich kalt. Ein bisschen unübersichtlich angeordnet, die Laptoparbeitsplätze sind höchst ungemütlich un die Tische zu schmal. Tegel ist besser! Nachtrag: das Essen wird immer schlechter. Hot Dogs und Tütensenf. Sauerkraut und abgestandene Brötchen. Essiggurken. Was für eine Visitenkarte. :-(((((

Nice and comfortable. Plenty of seating… munchies (hey, they have food!!), and plenty of cold and hot drinks. I visit many Star Alliance members’ lounges… this one is real nice.
So if your travels have you changing planes in Frankfurt… I suggest taking refuge here in the Lufthansa Business lounge, you will be happy that you did.

Not a bad place to hang out while waiting for your flight. They have all different types of beverages, including alcohol (beer & wine). Their frankfurters and breakfast food aren’t bad. Definitely not a bad place to get free food :)

Flieg Business Class oder sei Statuskunde, sonst bleibt dir der Zugang verwehrt. Die Lounge ist angenehm groß und bietet mit der zusätzlichen Sports Corner Extraplatz. Leider waren die Hot Dog Brötchen bereits zu Stein mutiert, so dass ein Unfallfreier Genuss nicht gewährleistet werden konnte. Schade! Aber wenigstens der Kartoffelsalat entsprach dem Standard. Aber eigentlich gilt; Dem geschenkten Gaul schaut man nicht ins Maul.

This lounge is nice. It’s got ample seating and plenty of food to choose from. There’s some televisions on as well. I’ve spent everywhere from 30 minutes to 7 hours here. I would recommend the 30 minute layover. Safe travels.

The A terminal lounge is large with a big seating area. Self-​service drinks include beers and some spirits and coffee. Depending on the time of day, there is also a reasonable selection of food.
Wi-​fi is hit or miss. One time, it worked great and I had no issue connecting to and using the free wi-​fi. The second time, only the paid options came up and the lounge attendant was unable to help.

Soweit eigentlich ganz ordentlich nur leider zu klein für den Frankfurt Flughafen.

Leider meistens viel zu voll und beengt hat auch die Renovierung die Business Lounge im Terminal 1A nicht wirklich verbessert. Vom Münchner Standard ist man in Frankfurt noch weit entfernt.
Das Essen ist standardisiert aber gut, die Getränkeauswahl leider wieder etwas kleiner geworden und die Sports Corner sollte einfach als normaler Bereich ausgebaut werden, die ständigen Fußballsspiele auf den Fernsehern müssen doch nicht mit Ton laufen.
Großer Pluspunkt im Vergleich mit anderen Lounges ist immernoch die Zeitungsauswahl und die Qualität des Kaffees, darum auch noch drei Punkte statt zwei.

The place to take a quick shower while passing time in transit at the Frankfurt In’tl Airport in Hessen. Nothing revives you better on an international multi-​flight trip than changing your «foundation garments» and showerin’ down before getting on the final leg of your trip. That’s an international for sure, for sure!

Neu gemacht, Stühle und Tische neu, sauberer als früher.

Die Frankfurter LH Business Lounge bietet kleine Snacks, Zeitungen, Getränke, Duschmöglichkeiten und man kann sein Handy aufladen etc.
Insgesamt eine nüchterne Lounge ohne Flair. Ein wenig vermisse ich dort die Ruhe, bzw. den Platz auch mal in Ruhe was Lesen oder Arbeiten zu können. Es ist immer so eine Wartesaal Stimmung und recht viel Trubel.
Das Angebot an Speisen ist ein wenig dürftig, hier bietet einige andere Lounges (z.B. Emirates aber nicht in FRA) mehr.

Naja, Frankfurter Würstchen und Brezeln sowie Kartoffelsalat ist nicht grade umwerfend, aber das Getränkeangebot war gut. Trotz der Größe der Lounge ziemlich ruhige Atmosphäre, das war angenehm.

Das war der schlimmste Flug seit langem. 45 Min. Warten auf dem mittleren Sitz. Hölle.
