I’m not sure how long this place has been around, but it’s been at least 2.5 years cause that is how long I have been living 3 houses down the street.
Not sure why it took me so long, but this year I finally tried the place and by now I have been there about half a dozen times.
Stäbchen is run by a nice Asian couple, but they also employ another cook in the kitchen. Although small (it seats about a dozen people inside plus another 8 or so on the patio outside), it is pretty popular during lunch time with the business folks working in the area.
I am pretty sure that is due to 2 reasons:
1. Decent prices
2. They are quick
I have only gotten take-​out so far, but every time, I had to wait less than 10 minutes for my order to be ready and I have observed that other people had a similar wait.
I am a sucker for red coconut curry, so I have only «been able» to order the #44 so far: Noodles, chicken & veggies in red coconut curry.
Is is the best red coconut curry I have ever eaten? No.
Would I prefer udon noodles over their egg noodles? Yes.
But for € 6.50, you will get you a decent amount of food that tastes good.
Can’t complain about that.
On another note, I have ordered sushi (mainly salmon) for my husband and one of my friends from Stäbchen before and they told me it was fine as well.
So overall, I award 3 stars for the food and 1 star for the price and getting the orders out so quickly = 4 stars in total.

wir waren gestern das erstemal in dem kleinen japanischen/​asiatischen Restaurant essen. Zunächst eine Miso– und eine Gemüsesuppe. Leckerer Start ! Danach gabs eine Sushiplatte und ein Curry. Super lecker ! Alles in Allem absolut empfehlenswert. Sehr nette Leute. Gutes Preis-​Leistungsverhältnis.
