Café Celli
Zwischen dem Café Runkel, dem Café Pause, dem Café Eichhörnchen, dem Café Vuslat, einem namenlosen Café EckeYork-​/​Florastraße, Café Wohnraum, Bonjour Nippes, Stehcafé Bäckerei Nick, Eiscafé Capri, Internetcafé Telecafé, liegt das Café Celli. Die genannten Cafés liegen mitsamt dem Celli alle in einem 100m-​Radius. Hinzu kommen noch ein paar Café-​Zwitter:
Ein Italienischer Feinkostladen, der Cappu und Espresso ausschenkt aber nicht in der Lage ist, panini caldo zu fabrizieren;
Ein Brauhaus, dass zwischen 15−17h Waffeln und Kuchen zum Kölsch anbietet
usw.
Die Café-​technische Revolution scheint Neußer Straße Ecke Florastraße in vollem Gange. Und nun zur Gretchenfrage: Ist das Celli etwas besonderes?
Heute war ich das zweite mal hier. Das Wlan ist schon länger defekt. Der Service ist nicht schnell aber freundlich. Der Cappu war nicht übel, aber auch nicht richtig gut. Über mein Panini caldo mit Schinken und Käse möchte ich das gleiche sagen.
Das Eis und den Kuchen habe ich noch nicht probiert. Solange muss das Café Celli mit einem aufgerundeten «in dubio pro reo”-Sternchen auf *** übersommern.
Fast hätte ich noch türkische Cafés im 100m-​Radius unterschlagen: das Simitzade und das ???-Saray.

What a great little family run café on Neusser Strasse just a few doors up from Em Gold Kappes. We were there as a group event. There are a number of different types of breakfast available from a basic bread and marmalade though to the Schlemmer Frühstuck. I opted for the Gross Frühstuck which arrived on a two tiered serving platter and consisted of Ham, Parma Ham, Cheese, a goat cream cheese, a couple slices of sausage, and then fruit, mozzerella with tomato and basil, home made marmalade, pickles, olives and a boiled egg. This is accompanied by a brötchen, a couple of slices of vollkorn bread and a croissant. There was so much that I couldn’t do it justice. One of the other party members ordered a schlemmer which was all the above plus so much more.
Another person in the group ordered a vegan breakfast. and we were joking that she would get bread and marmelade but nothing else… couldn’t have been futher from the truth. her two tiered serving platter turned up and looked like ours with «cheeses, hams and sausages» on it. but they were all vegan. you seriously wouldn’t be able to tell by looking at them. I don’t know how they tasted but from the appreciative noises she was making I would say that it was all very good as well. She also got a piece of fried marinated tofu which looked amazing. I also had a Strawberry and Basil Smoothie… one of the best I have ever had and at only € 2.90 a go. brilliant. Keep up the good work. Can highly recommend a visit.
