While on my way to visit my girlfriend doing work for University, I thought what can I do to make her get through the final steps of her project. Nothing in the world motivates her more than a warm drink and sweets. Then right before entering the University I noticed Häppchen. It was very welcoming how open the place was and just made me want to go inside and look around. So as I starred at there gigantic blackboard wondering what in the world to order, a man that works there asked if he could help. Probably because I looked as lost when looking at the Subway map. The Orb of confusion was on.(Yes I know that’s a SpongeBob reference, and yes I know I’m too old for SpongeBob but it’s a funny show.) Anyway he was really friendly and even helped me pick out what to order. I knew I wanted to get my girlfriend chai latte because she loves them but for a snack I had no idea. Then I saw the muffins and it was between the chocolate muffin and the triple Carmel muffin. The man told me to go with the Carmel muffin and the other worker that came out told me to do the same, so I did. First the chai latte, I tried it and I’m not to crazy about chai but it was good and my girlfriend enjoyed it and she gave it 3 stars. Good flavor but powdery at the end she said. Now the muffin I thought at first was nothing special but then when I bit into the middle and got a mouthful of delicious Caramel I knew it was a great choice. There was a good size glob of caramel in the middle which was incredible, my only complaint and my girlfriends too was it was a little dry on the outside, not super moist like I want my muffins. So therefore 4 stars. Great Homework snack for just 4 Euro, that is a good deal. I’m sure I will find myself here again. I want to try the chocolate chip muffin and their Häppchen Macchiato. Glad I found this little gem!

Aufgefallen ist mir der Laden schon vorher, weil er freundlich und einladend wirkt. Heute habe ich das Warten auf den Zug mit einem Kölsch(Gaffel aus der Flasche) und einem Panini mit Thunfischcreme, Oliven, getrockneten Tomaten und Käse verkürzt. Das Panini war sehr preiswert und lecker, die Bedienung ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam, das W-LAN schnell und zuverlässig. Passt! Ich komme wieder.

Tolles Café für den kleinen Hunger zwischen durch. Die Location ist ziemlich praktisch, direkt am Südbahnhof und nah an der Uni gelegen. WLAN ist auch vorhanden. Sehr coole und gemütliche Einrichtung. Die Preise halten sich auch sehr Studentenfreundlich.(2 € für die meisten Flaschengetränke, 2 € Cappuccino, 3 – 4 € für einen Snack) Außerdem gibt es noch eine große Auswahl an Salaten.

Stopped by this little place for lunch and was very impressed. The atmosphere was very inviting, the food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. They have a nice selection of salads, sandwiches and espresso drinks; perfect for lunch or a midday pick-me-up!

Mein Lichtblick bevor ich um 7.30 Uhr in den Zug steige — das Häppchen! Brandneu eröffnet bin ich rein um mir ein Käffchen zu kaufen. Wow, was für ein cooler Laden in der etwas tristen Straße. Da hat jemand Spaß an Einrichtung und schönen Dingen. Oben kann man sehr gemütlich sitzen und essen. Sehr zu empfehlen! Der Kaffee ist super und auch das Essen sieht gut aus: Es gibt Sandwiches, Salate, Kuchen, Quiche, Süßes und vieles mehr. Der Besitzer ist total nett und die Preise völlig okay. Freue mich ganz sehr über den tollen Neuzuwachs** Willkommen!
