Dhaba

Das Dhaba 2 ist sicher eine gute Alternative zu Dhaba 1 in der Belgradstrasse, wobei qualitativ nicht auf dem selben Level.
Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und gut bedient, jedoch war mein «Test”-Gericht, Murgh Hariyali, nur durchschnittlich. Die Sauce war bei weitem nicht «medium spicy» sondern sehr mild, der Spinat extrem vorherrschend sodass ich keine Gewürze schmecken konnte, und das Huhn war eher hart. Auf Nachfrage erhielt ich eine scharfe, sehr gute Sauce, die mein Essen definitiv verbesserte.
Meine Begleitung hatte 1x das selbe wie ich mit dem selben Feedback, und 1x Jhinga Masala, was wirklich sehr gut war.
Fazit: Das Dhaba in der Herzogstrasse ist — genau wie das Dhaba Nr 1 — angenehm Kitsch-​frei und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, und das Servicepersonal ist sehr freundlich. Es fehlt nur noch ein bisschen mehr Aufmerksamkeit, um z.B. bei Getränken mal nachzufragen, und eine Verfeinerung der Speisen, um mit Dhaba 1 mithalten zu können. Schwer zu bewerten, da mehr gegen 3 Sterne, für die nette Betreuung gibt es aber einen dazu.

Ganz neu eröffnet und fast direkt an der Münchner Freiheit gelegen. Die Inneneinrichtung ist modern und doch traditionell. Der Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt und war reichlich. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

This place opened up just two weeks ago. The original branch is located at the other end of Herzogstr close to West Schwabing and, this one, is located very close to the Münchener Freiheit station. As this place was not on Unilocal,I have added it.
The location is great and the place itself is nice and airy with, lots of windows and plenty of outdoor seating, something the other place was missing. The menu is the same as the other Dhaba. I call this place Dhaba2 although the name is the same on both places.
The service is very friendly and welcoming, something I have always loved about Dhaba. The food is excellent and of the same high quality I have been used to, for the last two years. Our starter was good and my main of Lamb Boti Masala was excellent. The fresh roti out of the tandoor was also very good. For dessert we tried mung bean halava (a new addition to the menu) and it was nice too.
All in all, for a place that has been open for two weeks, it was an excellent experience. They have a few more finishing touches to do at the restaurant but, a place I would happily come back to again. This is my favourite Indian restaurant in Munich and, the second place did not disappoint. In a way I prefer the layout of this place for the summer months. Well worth a try in my opinion. I hope you like it just as much as I do :-)
