Gelateria Garda

So so touristy gelato place. not especially flavorful, nor pleasant. there has to be much better placed in Bavaria

I have had ice creams here now and then and though they haven’t been ice creams that rocked my world, they were good ice creams, and they were served pretty much in the epicenter of Munich. So if you are a Munich tourist, or just someone living in this great city, how about you pop over to Orlandostrasse, get yourself an ice cream from Gelateria Garda, and stroll along Orlandostrasse, enjoying the views of tourists, locals, Hofbräuhaus, and what not, reminding yourself what a lucky woman or man you are!

Nothing to tell home about. Auswahl ist ok, das Eis schmeckt nichts besonderes (Haselnuss OK, Schokolade nicht so gut), die Bedienung ist etwas unsympathisch.
Ich brauche nicht unbedingt wieder hin.

Die Gelateria Garda geht in direkter Nähe zum von Schubeck komplett eingenommenen Orlando-​Areal leider etwas unter — vollkommen zu unrecht.
In der Vergangenheit war ich Stammkunde bei Schubecks-​Eissalon — die Gelateria Garda habe ich in vielen Jahren garnicht richtig wahrgenommen, dabei ist die Eisqualität gefühlt auf gleichem, wenn nicht höheren Niveau.
Die angebotenen Eissorten sind zumeist Klassiker, ergänzt um moderne aber typische Eisdielensorten. Schubeck und Ballabeni können hier mit etwas exotischeren Kreationen beeindrucken.
Insgesamt halte ich die Gelateria Garda für eine der besseren Eisdielen in München und steuere sie immer wieder gerne an.
Die Bedienungen sind immer überaus freundlich und teilweise sehr schön anzusehen!

Excellent gelato!
Right around the corner from our hotel is a tourist’s alley haven — there are souvenir shops, pretzels & gelato (just to name a few)
And we could not resist Gelateria Garda!
The Mr got the Hazelnut & Pistachio — loved his nutty choices
Chocolate & Salted Caramel for me — excellent paring & the deep flavor of the chocolate was a perfect compliment to the buttery caramel
This gelato was dense & intensely flavorful — wished we had been there longer to try all their flavors but those double scoops were the perfect ending to a perfect rainy day in Munich!
