Read some reviews of other branches of Kaimug in Munich AFTER having had my experience at this one. Those reviews seem to be mostly positive. Rather recently this branch doubled their searing space so I imagine business is doing well. They have a take out window on the street side so if your in a really hurry you don’t even need to get inside(this option may not be available when it’s freezing outside). The décor is pleasant, much more so than a ‘real Thai imbiss’., but unfortunately that didn’t make the food taste better. Had a quick lunch here with my husband and a friend at our friend’s suggestion. His main reason for choosing this place wasn’t the food per-se, I think(-; Both my husband and the friend had a curry with chicken and thought it wasn’t all that bad though both had at least one or two points of critique. Most surprisingly also about the rice not having been cooked properly(should never happen in a place that is supposed to have Asian food). I really love duck so I often choose a dish with duck. To be fair, the amount of duck wasn’t very decent especially since I chose the ‘small portion’. Some of the duck had batter that is normally used for other dishes(fried jumbo shrimp and veggies for instance), certainly not duck. I only ate the duck with a bit of the rice left most of the vegetables untouched, And decided not to come back a second time. If you’re in this corner of the street I recommend Mi Li Fu(also reviewed by me) just 15 meters down the road, for something quick. If you are in the neighbourhood of Munich central station there is this really tiny Thai Imbiss in one of the streets in that area where Thai women come for lunch and gossip in Thai. That would be my Thai Imbiss of choice, even though it’s bit out of the way for me. Read my review of Noppakao, Thai Imbiss at:
