Anneliese Friese is one of the few stores in Rothenburg not connected to Kathe Wohlfahrt, which first off makes it a unique store. Secondly their items are rather unique and many of them are made locally in Germany. I found the individuals running the store to be friendly and helpful in describing the various items I was looking at. If you mention Rick Steves, you will most likely receive a discount off any purchase. I highly recomend taking a look at Anneliese Friese when you are in Rothenburg, especially since they aren’t connected to any big businesses.
