Pretty outstanding coffee, and clearly dedicated to their craft. Apparently they offer barista classes, and roast the beans on-site. I tried an iced coffee(on the rocks) from Ethiopia which was quite nice. Floral notes with truculent finish. I don’t know what I mean by that either. They have blends and single origin, with the precise % of each on the blends. Don’t ask for sugar as they will scoff and send you out the door like the soup-nazi. Seating is limited, but the place next door that sells distressed furniture and whatnot has some space that they share. Also there is a little playhouse for the little ones.

Holy mother of coffee beans! There is a latte here that would turn a vegan out. These people aren’t fucking around. This is amazing coffee. No, I can’t even call it coffee. It’s more like dark liquid magic. Made by and served by people I would actually call Artists. Professionals. Masters of their Craft. You can enjoy their creations(they have a brief and straightforward variety of offerings: coffee, cappuccino, latte, cold-press coffee, and a small handful of other real coffee beverages) in their utilitarian space or head to adjacent Moko Market and Café and enjoy your drink there. I can’t recommend Kaffa enough. There just aren’t words to describe it. My little guy and I now make our almost-daily stop by here on our walk through Helsinki. Thank you, Kaffa, for being award-winningly awesome.
