Merimakasiini is a very traditional place in a nice location. During the summer you can sit on their terrace and watch the boats entering and leaving Länsisatama. The quality of the food was also good. Prices are quite high though and not all the stuff was that friendly unfortunately.

Great Bouillabaisse! Friendly service and nice view to the port. Somewhat pricey. The water costs 1 euro.

Just okay. Good for getting away from busy downtown but not a culinary paradise. I’m not at all happy with mussels served shells off. I always think they are canned. The wine was decent and the waiter treated us like he was not our friend but willing to do his job anyway. It seemed like it was more of a local hangout but not because it had unique food. Merimakassiini was small and mostly quiet when were were there and not at all catering to tourists.
