Food very mediocre and over priced. Sandwich had layers, the end very strong with mustard which there was no hint of in the rest of the sandwich. Wouldn’t recommend.

This is one of those restaurants you eat at not because the food is insane, but rather because eating there puts you smack in an awesome part of town and sets you up for a good night. This is my third day in Helsinki(visiting from California), and though I’ve spent the last two days wandering around, it wasn’t until I stumbled into this place that I knew I’d found the«cool» part of town. It’s hip. The people that work there have beards and tattoos and long hair which is actually somewhat unusual in Helsinki, especially in the proper part of the city. This is the kind of place that puts their street food menu on mounted LCD screens and then marks up the price a bit for it, but I’m a sucker for that. Their branding is dope, too. The sandwiches come in paper wrapping with their logo on it, so you can sort of tell they’re looking to be a destination, not just a random stop with a decent sandwich. At the end of the day, the food was fine, but the experience of eating there and discovering the neighborhood made it worth it.

It is amazing how well a sandwich can taste if it’s well made. And the guys at StreetGastro now that really well. At three different locations around Helsinki they sell their«premium street food» as they call it. And that is no exaggeration. StreetGastro focuses purely on sandwiches. In fact they only have four different kinds on their menu: Possu(pork), Kana(chicken), Härkä(beef) and Vege(vegetarian). And you can’t make a wrong choice. All of them are really good. With a delicious bread and lots of fresh lettuce and vegetables they these sandwiches make for an excellent snack and even a decent lunch.

Great sandwiches in a cool setting. Very hipster place! The corner shop looks very nice and has an industrial feeling to it. They grow there own herbs and make and sell their own chily oil and beer. Menu is easy, 4 different sandwiches and a daily special. Been here twice in a week. I had korea bbq special the first time and the chicken the second. Both great! This could be one of my Helsinki staples!!!
