Le Bistro

This is probably the first five star review i am giving to a restaurant where i kind of didn’t hand over any cash.
Why so you ask? …so having booked a tour taking me from Geneva to the Chamonix valley there was an option to have a the lunch included for an extra 20 euros which made sense being that what we ended up having would have cost around 50 euros.
I wish i wrote these reviews sooner so i could explain the starter and desert but all i can say is that they were great. The mains is the dish i do remember, there were two choices and i went for the grilled salmon and it had to be possibly the best grilled salmon i have ever had in my life. Like so delicious i even took a bite out of my friends when she was not looking.
The service was superb with it not being so busy we had an attentive waiter at all times.
Location is at the foot of the mountains, and right in Chamonix town but maybe a bit out of the way now i am back in England :(

During our ski holiday, we returned several times.
First we had a nice diner, with one of their specialties: raclette
Heavy but so tasteful after a day skiing ;)
Staff could be better but hey they are French ;) so do not expect them friendly :) our waitress forgot also a couple of times the extra drinks we ordered.
Besides that, the place is also child friendly!
Food served very fast and prepared with fresh ingredients, which could be told by tasting my daughters hamburger. No frost burger but the real stuff!!!
We returned 3 times in the afternoon, chilling on their comfortable terrace. Be aware; the part where the sun beds /​lounge chairs are located, is self service zone: s
However if you are lucky you’ll have the same waiter as us, who was working hard and willing to fulfill our thirsty needs ;)
Also a great DJ was playing super cool beats through speakers placed late afternoon-​ish ;)
So if you are at Avoriaz, definitely go to this stylish place!!!

Seriously you can’t go wrong at this fine establishment and you will be tempted to come back for another refined meal during your week long vacation.
We went there for lunch and we were amazed by the all around quality.
Located right in the middle of Avoriaz on the Main Street, the inside is really nicely decorated, all wood but with a clean modern cut that actually makes you feel inside a boat. If you are lucky to be seated upstairs, you have a beautiful view of the mountains.
Service was attentive, precise and perfect throughout the meal. The price to quality ratio was impressive. For € 17.50 for a lunch deal we got an awesome Osso bucco with fresh pasta and a tarte tatin that came with really fine chocolate ice cream.
Every dish was really well presented and tasted amazing. Whatever you do, leave space for dessert as it is obvious this place has a 5 stars patissier on staff.
The menu is diverse enough for everyone’s liking: fish, sushi, local specialties, meats…
A definite must do for a perfect meal while in Avoriaz.

La fondue y est excellente, la déco très conviviale et service très sympa surtout avec un petit monstre qui met du sucre plein la moquette!!!
Les enfants comme les grands peuvent apprécier les canapés!
Des tarifs un peu élevés

Accueil très bon menu du midi avec super rapport qualité prix pour Avoriaz. Carte créative entre tradition savoyarde et bistronomique. Carte des vins de très haute qualité et de grand choix.
Une adresse de qualité.

Un lieu très agréable, un accueil professionnel et sympathique. Une raclette au fromage fumé interminable. Né ratez pas la tarte au citron.

La meilleure fondue du coin !
Le Bistro est un endroit vraiment sympa pour tout ceux qui aiment la cuisine savoyarde ! Le décor façon chalet, le salon d’attente, et surtout les spécialités de montagne ! La fondue aux cèpes est une vraie tuerie, je n’ai jamais pu retrouver ce gout inimitable. Certes, il y a beaucoup de monde le soir, mais le personnel est assez rapide. Bref, à mon goû, la meilleure adresse de la station.

LE MEILLEUR RAPPORT QUALITE-​PRIX DE CETTE SAISON A AVORIAZ ! Situé idéalement au coeur de la station le restaurant propose des menus sympathiques, servis par un personnel adorable et souriant, à des prix raisonnables ! Le cumul des trois items est une rareté dans la station (soit on reste sur sa faim, soit on est servis par M & Mme Désagréable, soit on se fait plumer)
En plus, en terrasse l’après-midi, un vrai DJ passé une musique d’enfer qui file la patate. C’est un des deux établissement d’Avoriaz que j’ai gratifié de l’astérisqué des Qypers !
P-​S: Le restaurant n’est pas du tout situé au Douchka, mais à côté du syndicat d’initiative, près du palais des festivals au centre névralgique du village. Vous pouvez même surveiller de loin vos chérubins sur le stade de ski Mir-​Famose et repartir skis aux pieds de la terrasse
