Stopped in to L’Ardoise last month, to have dinner, while in Caen, France. The owners are a husband and wife and he cooks while she runs the front of the restaurant (friendly and gracious). We enjoyed the service and the food was amazing. They have choices for Vegetarians and meat dishes, of course, for those who eat meat.
The restaurant is located on a narrow cobblestone street with beautiful old style buildings (one of the only streets original to Caen, built prior to WWII, that was not to shelled to oblivion during the fighting between the Nazis and the Allied Forces).
We would definitely go again the next time we’re in Caen!

Menu d’appel entrée/​plat/​desser à 15 euros, rapport qualité/​prix au top car cuisine délicieuse.
La Fringale qui est juste à côté et l’Ardoise appartiennent au même proprio, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés ;-)
Mention spéciale à l’Ardoise qui propose de la viande hallal !
