A sunday night in Calais is not a good start for finding great restaurant.
Courtepaille suffers on many levels from Burned Bread for my Pâté to a steak served first blue then Burned to a crisp. I don’t admit to speaking the best French but I do think I was purposly ignored when asking for them to grill for 2 to 3 Minutes more. Petetre and Doux or trois minutes are pretty clear parts of any instruction! Laclustre service led to waiting for a time for the bill as the restauant started to fill. I sometimes feal the Fence are their own worst enemies hen it comes to Pretending to be leaders in service when in reality they scoff at others. A shame.

Salade offerte. deux pauvres feuilles noyées dans la vinaigrette. le plat principal vaut le coup, tout comme le cadre. mais cette salade! Horrible. Cadre sympathique, ambiance feu de cheminée, personnel moyen. mais pour une viande cuite comme ça.miam ps: un tableau est à l’envers…
