Chez Freddy

We came here, as we had had a great experience the first time around at the Chez Freddy in Nice. We were craving rice, and thought we should get the Paella.
Once we were seated, everything started off a bit wrong. The waiter we had was by far the most unfriendliest man I may have ever met. I don’t know what was going on with him, but, he wasn’t nice at all. We had to ask for our waters several times.
Seafood paella– 3 stars. It was OK. I mean, we should have known better than to order paella in France for one, and paella at this place. The flavor was average, and nothing special.
Nicoise Salad– 4 stars. This salad was actually really good. I was a bit surprised by the flavorfulnpess of the tuna. The dressing was great, and portion was nice.
Bread here was NOT good at all.
Due to service being poor, I am knocking this place down. I think it depends on who you get, as I noticed that another waiter was much more friendlier and on top of his situation, but unfortunately he wasn’t OUR waiter.

Nothing really to write home about.
We had the cold seafood tower and had a blast eating it, but we all agreed it was NOT the BEST we have had in the past.
Either way, I had a really nice time… funny waiters and really nice friends.

Roast chicken with herbs, simple but wee done. Rich and chocolatey mousse.

The seafood pasta is just amazing. I try to get it every time I’m in town. The location is a bit cramped as they try to fit as many tables in there as possible, but if you go for lunch, you shouldn’t have too much of a problem.

My partner and I had dinner tonight and we order a cold seafood appetizer. Unfortunately it took 30 minutes after reminding the waiter and the place wasn’t busy. By the time their famous paella came out it was luke warm and I have better paella else where. I realize the service is usually slower in Nice but 30 minutes for cold seafood appetizer

super restau ! les plats sont beux et tres copieux ! l’aioli est divine !! la paella aussi ! poissons toujours frais et serveurs aux petits soins ! toujours du monde mieux vaux reserver ou aller manger a 19h30.

Ich kenne diese Lokal im Herzen von Cannes seit Jahren und bin immer wieder begeistert, wie sich die Küche über diese lange Zeit qualitativ auf gleichem hohen Niveau hält.
Im «Chez Freddy» liegt der Fokus auf klassischen Provençalischen Fischspezialitäten, welche hier alle durchweg zu empfehlen sind.
Am besten startet man mit einer Auswahl an Meeresfrüchten (Krebs, Muscheln, Schnecken etc./siehe Pics) und ergötzt sich beim Hauptgang an der wahrlich großen Fischplatte (eine reicht eigentlich für Zwei…).
Die Beilagen sind hervorragend, das Gemüse ist perfekt «al dente» zubereitet.
An dieser Stelle sei jedoch angemerkt, dass auch Freunde von Fleischgerichten selbstverständlich auf ihre Kosten kommen.
Auch hier liegt das Hauptaugenmerk selbstverständlich auf der Provençalischen Küche.
Ebenso lässt die gut sortierte Weinkarte keinerlei Beanstandungen zu und gestattet einen tollen Überblick über die Kunst des (süd)französischen Weinbaus :-).
Als Abschluss darf ein Dessert nicht fehlen, denn auch hier bietet das Chez Freddy eine hervorragende Auswahl an «Suchtpotentialen» ;-)…
Hier sei gezielt die leckere hausgemachte «Mousse au Chocolat» empfohlen!
Die volle Punktzahl für das «Chez Freddy» betrachte ich daher als eine absolute Verpflichtung :-)!

Miam Miam Trop Bön
Un restaurant sympa où on est certain de bien manger, les paellas et les aioli sont excellents. D’ailleurs je né sais jamais que manger. A Cannes pas facile de bien manger, cela fait 10 ans que j’y vie… si je veux me faire plaisir ou faire plaisir à mes amis, c’est là bas que je vais.

Bön et pas cher !
Excellent ! Un très bon rapport qualité prix. Service très aimable. Nous né savions pas où aller manger sur Cannes, puis nous sommes tombés sur ce restaurant aux prix très accessibles pour la Côte d’Azur ! Le personnel est aimable, le service rapide. Bref: une bonne adresse sur Cannes.

Ma cantine à Cannes
C’est l’adresse à Cannes, le seul endroit où on se retrouve entre copines à dejeuner, service sympa, cuisine excellente, ambiance au top, on né s’enflamme pas pour l’addition, allez-​y, vous né le regretterez pas ! Pour sur !

Très très bien
J’y ai mangé pour le 14 juillet de cette année (2009). Très très bien service et accueil. Malgrè le monde on se sente pas dans le stess. La cuisine très bonne et les prix raisonnables pour cette bonne qualité.

Cadre sympathique
J’ai toujours autant de plaisir quand je mange chez Freddy. Le patron est très agréable. Je vous conseille le menu du midi, je me régale avec toutes les variétés sur le buffet.

Déçu
J’ai été déçu la dernière fois car nous avons pris une paella qui était soit disant la spécialité de la maison, les crevettes étaient molles et la paella quelconque et en plus nous avons attendu 1h ! Trop long ! J’espère que c’était une exception !
