Hôtel des Arcades

Where to start…
I’d say the hotel itself is a very aesthetically pleasing building, it does have its charm.
The rooms are fairly small, my room had about an inch gap under the door that have out to the hallway and I could hear whenever someone was about, not to mention the noticeable hall light that leaks in while you’re sleeping or the lights are out. The bathroom was tiny but functional but wouldn’t latch and there was no way to lock it which in my opinion was a big negative since it would let cold air in while you are in the shower and if you use the sink the door keeps bumping into your behind.
As for the restaurant, here is where I felt the real tourist trap. The food was not cheap, and frankly not great by any means, the cod was rubbery, the aioli sauce was industrial, the vegetables were like eating mush and had no flavor at all. I ordered wine which was served in a chilled pitcher and I coups swear it was cut with water. The only decent part was the desert which was obviously frozen and not made by anyone in the kitchen.
The lady that owns the hotel is not very nice, I asked if we could sit outside and have coffee, she kind of condescendingly told me that she was not a bar… Apparently we were not welcome and she did not seem to want our business. The owners husband seemed to only smile at my wife, as soon as he noticed me he proceeded to frown and leave the area.
I would not recommend this hotel, there are nicer bed and breakfast places in the area that cost a lot less and are much more comfortable.

Petit hôtel sympathique à un prix très raisonnable. Céret est une charmante petite ville, à une heure de Prades et 40 minutes de Collioure. Que vous aimiez la montagne ou la plage, c’est un bon plan.
Le petit-​déjeuner est très bon et peu cher, les chambres sont très bien tenues et spacieuses. L’accueil était également très bon.
Très recommandé !

La situació perfecte, just davant del mercat dels dissabtes.
Els germans Astrou et fan sentir com si fossis a casa.
Recomanat molt especialment.
