A deux pas des talus qui habituellement l’hébergent., il est une fleur, au rouge sans pareil dont l’évocation du seul nom m’a fait y conduire ma belle. Comme un p’tit coquelicot, Madame… disait le poète. Ce n’est pas un resto, non ! Bien plus encore, c’est une Table. Elle est située au bas du cours Gambetta. Le décor y est feutré, tout fait d’écru et de gris souris. Nappes et grandes serviettes(fait rarissime) de coton blanc. Le dressage des plats qui relève de la mise en scèné est un ravissement. Les macros-gambas de ma mie lui ont fait pétiller les yeux et mes côtes d’agneau préparées selon trois subtiles façons me font saliver, à ce jour encore. C’est sûr, la tarte au citron n’existait pas la veille. Le pain est fait maison. Un service à la fois souriant, impliqué et discret. Bön, vous avez vu, j’ai mis cinq étoiles.

The day before our wedding, on August 25th, we hosted a dinner party for 70 international guests at La Table des Coquelicots. This was an absolute success in every possible terms: food, service, atmosphere, price … We are very thankful to the restaurant owners and managers for how well they orchestrated that night. We only gave them the number of guests and menu selection with a choice of meat or fish. No deposit required, no need to tell them who will eat meat/fish. I was wondering how they were going to manage that. As we arrived that night, tables were nicely setup on the terrace, decorated with poppy flowers, menus printed on the tables, we had a welcoming verrine(appetizer), the service was very friendly, they spoke good English, the dessert was brought by the chef patissier and we had a gypsy jazz band playing for us … They thought about everything without us asking for it and at no extra cost !! We all had a fantastic night. If you are in Cotignac, don’t hesitate to try La table des Coquelicots. Prior to that large party, me and my husband had another romantic eve there and the food was so delicious and well presented. You are guaranteed to get the authentic refined Provencal food experience, at such a good price. Can’t wait to go back!

I don’t know, why this restaurant is rated that good It’s kinda expensive and the menu looks good, but in the end, it’s just average food, nicely draped in very small portions. Absolutely nothing special. The service was way below average: We asked, if we’re allowed to smoke and we were. But we never got an ashtray, so we had to dump our cigarettes below the table. Service saw this, but still didn’t act. .Instead, the waiter took our plates while we were still chewing on our last bites So. It’s okay, but not as special as the menu and prices look. There are way better restaurants with better /fancier food, friendlier service and cheaper prices around here, I’ld prefer

Une très bonne adresse avec un menu entrée plat dessert à 35 euro vous attend pour le dîner. Qualité des mets incontestable avec une petite remarque sur les filets de sole qui sont au nombre de 4 et pas 2. Foie gras en entrée très bon. Rien à dire au niveau du service: rapide et sympa. Note à 187EUR pour 4 personnes apéro et vin compris.
