Not often do you get to try a wine like this by the glass. I guess Comme Chez Soi’s clientele are rich enough and frequent enough where great bottles can be opened and consumed by an array of people coming through. Luckily for me, I came in at the point where there was just a little bit more than a glass left. Score Chateauneuf du Pape is already a small region as it is; Beaucastel is a small player with their white wine lot being under 10 hectares of planting. Rousanne is the major player in the mix with Granache Blanc, Picardan, Clariette, Bourboulenc, all region specific grapes to finish. A very golden color, floral, honey, stonee fruit and a bit salty from the minerality. Certainly one of the more unique and intriguing wines I’ve tasted
