Hands down the best crêpe and galette I have had in Brittany. Signed and sealed! There must be some epic knowledge in this region because the baguettes in Crozon were the best I have had in Brittany as well. The owner named this restaurant after his two children, so you know right away there is some love in this place. It is certainly expressed in the food and service. Three people attended our table of 6 at any given time, including the owner. We were fortunate to have a table next to the oversized window, offering ‘this is the life’ views of the countryside and ocean. Let me tell you, this place was on and popping! There were several parties of 4 or more here, chatting and chewing away, all of them laughing and smiling happy. I joined the revelry with cidre in hand and ordered the Coquilles St Jacques Forestiere galette. Mouthwatering small bites of scallops and mushrooms, floating in a cream sauce with herbs sitting on a soft yet slightly crunchy galette. This chef is boss! How do you make a galette soft AND crunchy? For dessert I ordered the classic Caramel au beurre salé with vanilla ice cream and house made chantilly. Let’s put it this way, if I wasn’t surround by 5 men I would have licked that plate clean. Note: the caramel and chantilly are both made in house. Oh yes! I can’t really say much more about this reatuarant. Oh! If you do have a massive party of say 20 or more, there is a Richard the Lionheart size table downstairs in front of a fire place. Get it! Your party will experience complete euphoria from exceptional cuisine.
