I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel de La Porte Saint-Malo this September. On arrival we were warmly greeted before the member of staff took hold of our suitcases and showed us to our room. Great service! The room was very reasonably priced and good value for money. Nothing fancy, but it was exactly what we needed (ie. cheap, good and close to town). The front desk was very helpful in giving us recommendations for restaurants within the walled city and other information about Dinan. The location is perfect — just a stone’s throw away from the center and its many restaurants and activities. I absolutely recommend the hotel’s breakfast that includes croissants, bread, yoghurts, fruit and homemade jam. While I was there I was lucky enough to try the grapefruit jam (a revelation!) and a reine claude plum jam.
