The Menhir de Champ-Dolent is an upright standing stone of Champ Dolent and it is the largest standing stone in Brittany at nearly 9 meters high. It is located in a field outside the town of Dol-de-Bretagne. It has a smaller polished stone at its base that was used for sacrifices. There are many stories about how the stone got there. One story is that Satan threw the stone trying to hit a nearby church and hit only part of the church and then the stone landed here. Another story is that the stone is sinking as people fight and will completely sink by the day of judgement. Free to access the stone but probably need a car to get here.
