The Saint Eloi belfry gives you spectacular 360 degree view of the city of Dunkerque. It cost only € 3.30 and an elevator takes you to the bells and then another 64 steps take u to the top of the tower.
Getting out of the elevator, I didn’t see the steps to the top and instead went towards the Clarion bells. Then went down and saw the steps going towards the top — the staircase is super small and you have to be careful not to bump your head on the low ceiling.
I didn’t find the 64 steps very tiring and felt like got to the top super quickly — loved the spectacular view I got and glad paid the money to see the view from the top.

Dans le beffroi se trouve l’office de tourisme de Dunkerque !
A vrai dire, lorsque l’on sort avec une locale, pas vraiment besoin d’entrer dans l’office de tourisme, SAUF si on cherche à tout prix un magasin d’ustensiles de cuisine à H-2 de Noël… Les filles de l’accueil ont bien répondu! Bingo, j’ai trouvé le dernier cadeau pour beau-papa: c’est çà la force de l’office de tourisme, de répondre correctement même lorsque ça né touché pas leur domaine… du vrai conseil!
(Et sinon le Beffroi est joli).
