We stumbled upon this little gem when the restaurant we were trying to get to was closed for vacances. The place is owned by a lovely couple(her name is Martine). She is French and he is from Portugal. Not only were they incredibly friendly, the food was amazing. I had the octopus served with potatoes. My son had the steak poivre served with French fries. My daughter had a Portuguese fish and my husband had the gambas. All were super yummy and very large servings. After lunch, they brought out a glass of vin verte from Portugal as a cadeaux for me(which was delightful). This was followed by another treat… a cherry liqueur served in a little chocolate cup. We couldn’t have asked for a more delightful way to spend our lunch on the way to Bayeux. Give it a try if you are in the area… it’s a little off the beaten path but well worth it. Make sure that you tell them the family from San Francisco sent you! You might get extra treats, too. P. S. Martine was lovely enough to help me with my French as she practiced her English. We stumbled a bit but managed to communicate just fine.
