La plage est immense, commune avec celle de Quend, je pense, c’est le paradis des chars à voile. On y arrive par une longue avenue, sympathique, colorée, animée et donc agréable.

This town and this beach are sooooooo awesome. The main street, the Avenue de la Plage, is lined with fantastic cafes and adorable shops. There is a huge market down the middle of the street, too. This street leads you straight to the most fabulous beach everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I have never seen a beach with so little trash. Mother Nature is super duper proud right now, people. Though crowded, the beach is still spacious enough that we could spread out and feel like our space was not invaded. Also, despite all the people, it was really quiet. A cool breeze made the hot day bearable, and a plunge in the English Channel made my entire body happy to be alive. Lots of little crashing waves for our 3 year old to delight in. If you’re like me and physically incapable of peeing in the ocean, there are pay toilets at the top of the beach that only made me want to puke a little. Traffic was a bitch, but spend a few extra minutes scouting out parking, because walking three miles is also a bitch. The office of tourism is a few blocks from the swim beach.
