J’ai eu la chance de visiter cette chocolaterie avec l’envers du décor et c’était épatant de voir la fabrication. Les fèves sont directement transformées sur place, la qualité du chocolat une fois terminé s’en ressent: miam !

This is a place to go to enjoy real chocolate. Bonnat family has been making chocolate for more than 130 years, and eventually was granted meilleur ouvrier de France award(best craftsman in France –cooking section). Amongst the traditional sweets, you have to taste their grand cru chocolate bars: they select cocoa beans from the best regions, and the best cocoa trees. Therefore, they get very rich chocolates: length, sweetness, acidity, bitterness are totally under control. A must go in Grenoble if you don’t have time to go to Voiron, where the original shop is placed. It’s expensive, but really worth the detour.
