DON’T BRINGVALUABLECLOTHESHERE!!! Seriously, if you value your garments(more than you would a pair of dirty socks, for instance), don’t take them to Edelweiss. My wife brought a dress to these people for dry cleaning and they absolutely trashed it! Its one thing to not understand the type of fabric that you are cleaning(clearly the case with Edelweiss, as a silken part of her white dress was turned pink as a result of the cleaning process); however, it is entirely another problem to treat a piece of clothing like you just don’t care. For instance, there was a small broach on the front of this dress that lost several of its decorative beads, and the tag on the inside of the back of the dress was hanging on by a thread when it was returned to us. It looked like someone had thrown it in an industrial washer rather than taking the care necessary for a nice garment, or having the sensibility to say«sorry, we can’t handle a dress of this nature.» For those of you ex-pat’s looking for a place to do your dry cleaning, my recommendation is to go find another business(again, unless you are dry cleaning something that you don’t care about, like your socks!) French translation coming…
