Hôtel Mercure

I stayed here as part of a convention I attended in Le Havres in October 2013.
Location :
Perfecly located on the east part of Bassin du Commerce, 5′ walk from the Pasino. From the station, this is a 10′/15′ walk. You probably can take the tramway to get nearer but you will have to walk at least 5 to 10 minutes from the tramway stop anyway. Close to the Rue de bretagne and Rue Chevalier where there is a couple of restaurants, creperies and bars.
Service and Equipments:
A classic Mercure hotel, very clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy in the room but very comfortable bed and soft towels. I did not get a chance to have breakfast there but there is a big dining room as well as an outside restaurant.
Checkin was a breeze as well as checkout with two polites and smiling hotel members.
4-​star only as I thought the area really misses some lights at night.
And some creepy people when you enter Quai Georges V on your way from the station after 9PM.

En face du volcan
Come tout hôtel de chaîné la partie chambre reste formaté. Dans le bar une ambiance sympathique a été trouvée, idéal pour attendre quelqu’un. Le restaurant est plutôt une bonne surprise: les assiettes «saumon» par exemple sont à essayer. Un hôtel pour touristes anglophones ou pour déplacement professionnel mais bien situé et plutôt agréable.

Très bonne qualité de services
Un très bon hôtel de la chaîné Mercure: on y est allé pour quelques journées de conférences et on a été très satisfaits de la qualité des services: très bon accueil, des chambres confortables, des salles de conférences spacieuses et bien équipées, ainsi qu’un très bon resto qui sert des menus complets et plutôt copieux.
