I. Loved. This. Place. No — stop. I LOOOOOVED this place! Are the owners Dutch? Yes. Are most of the customers Dutch? Yes. Am I Dutch? Yes. Therefore — am I biased? Well perhaps. But not in the way you think… In general, when I’m holiday, I really DON’T want to team up with other Dutchies. In fact, I’m one of those who’s faking an accent and pretending I have a different nationality. Mostly British — I can pull that off best in my opinion due to my complexion. Sorry, wondering off… Anyway, let me tell you why I loved this place: 1. Beds. They have lovely sun beds for you to ly and soak up the sun. Even better — you can rent them for the whole day AND half a day! A lot of the the beach venues at the Côte d’Azur just charge for the whole day, regardless of the time you arrive. You feel pretty, *ahum*, when you arrive at 16.00 and they charge you the full amount. Not here — rent half day and pay less. 2. The service — level 1 Super friendly, super quick. When you’re on the beach, they come by regularly to check if you’re alright. Not in an annoying ‘upselling’ way, in a genuine way. I can appreciate that! If you’re having lunch or dinner at the restaurant — bread on the table, oil, a jug of tap water all set without you asking for it. Quick service with a smile and super attentive. 3. The service — level 2 They take it up a notch! So you’re chilling out in the water? Gissé actually has a little brush and brushes your bed sand-free so when you come back, nice clean bed… Way, you say what?! We made reservation for lunch(yes, super lazy from our sun bed, I know — so spoiled) and when we came to the table… A complementary glass of «kir wine»(like to ‘royale’ but with white wine instead of champagne). It’s the thought that counts! How sweet is that?! 4. The quality Great food! The Moules Provencale were absolutely delicious. No sauce necessary! To my surprise because if there’s one thing I love — it’s sauce. On everything and anything… Overall, a fantastic stay and I’ll remember this place! Just don’t forget to make reservations! As you can understand, this place is popular so make reservations for your sun beds and lunch. And guess what… When I’ll come back, I won’t even pretend I’m not Dutch. How’s that?!
