The Café de Commerce is in the lovely square of the medieval village of Lauzerte in Tarn & Garonne, south west France. Unfortunately it is only open in the summer as the current owner isn’t too bothered about running a bar. Having said that, he is friendly, speaks excellent English and loves the area, its language(Occitan, tho not much spoken now) and traditions. There is no food but a good selection of interesting beers and wine at reasonable prices. The décor isn’t up to much but in good weather you can sit outside in the sun and enjoy looking at the arcaded square and the people passing by. Saturday morning is market day.
