Les Gens De Mer

For a very reasonable price you can stay at this hotel in Le Havre. I shared a room with two friends and we paid 27,5 euros each. The rooms are very large and extra blankets and pillows are provided. The bathrooms are equally large and have both a bath and a shower. I did find three tiny insects in the night in the bathroom and there was a lack of plugd but honestly, what would you expect for such a price? The hotel is ideal if you are just passing through.
We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant: a menu of two courses for 16 euros. As a main I had a lovely piece of salmon with chips and as a dessert the most beautiful chocolate fondant with custard and chantilly cream.
Overall I really enjoyed my stay here, there is a very good price/​quality ratio.

J’ai simplement testé le restaurant, pas l’hôtel. Pour 20 euros, on a l’apéritif, une entrée à base de crevettes, une escalope de poulet, une tarte aux pommes, du vin à volonté au pichet, et un café. C’est basique, bien présenté, assez agréable en bouche. La salle est grande, assez bien conçue et il est possible d’en privatiser une partie. Le service, par contre est difficile, … c’est dommage.
