I went to this shop because I had to make a vegan cake. Since I live on the pentes de la croix rousse, I wanted to check out what might be close instead of traveling down to lower 2^nd or into the 6^th to get to La Vie Claire or a similar shop. It turns out Sitwonnel opened up just a couple of months ago. They have real brown sugar (the moist kind) in bulk, which is a great find anywhere in Lyon, and in addition I found everything I needed for baking vegan and gluten free baking. I was especially drawn to the edible essential oils, which I have been looking for. Being a big baker, I really appreciated this. They carry a pretty good selection of markal brand bio beans and things. Oils are represented and I assume they will be expanding that section soon to get more vinegars, soy and rice based condiments. I’m happy I can now find a good well stocked bio shop right in my neighborhood.
