Desperately wanting to go skiing during half term but unable to afford staying in a hotel with a package holiday I was recommended P&V as a cheaper alternative. Our 2 person studio had a squeaky sofa bed, small dining table, spacious bathroom and a corridor kitchen that was not really ideal for cooking meals in but fine for breakfast and a quick snack. It may not be luxurious but it’s comfortable and affordable even during school holidays. On site they have a games room, outdoor pool, sauna, ski hire shop, French deli selling delicious pastries in the morning for less than a euro, ski lifts, ski pass sales, a(rather disappointing) restaurant, a reasonable well stocked Spar, newsagents, waffle shop, pizza place(book ahead) and more. There may not be as much to do in Plagne 1800 as in Plagne Centre but a free shuttle running every 15 minutes will whizz you up the hill in no time.
