the tony beach resort town of Menton is also famous for it’s lemons. so had to have a taste of tarte au citron, a local specialty. the owner-​baker grows them for his sweet treats and we had to try some (pricey). sit at the sunny terrace or port the goodies to a tree-​shaded bench on the seafront Promenade du Soleil as we did.
trivia: on the franco-​italian border. the east side of town is an easy walk into italy.
